If any Logan's run fans are out in Malibu Creek State Park on Sunday, January 28 - there will be a FREE guided Tour of the park (Parking cost extra), given by Harry Medved, co-author of "Hollywood Escapes."

The tour is at the former 20th Century Fox Ranch where many classic films have been shot - including Logan's Run, where Logan, Jessica and Francis were walking the long dirt road towards the ruined city of Washington DC.

Sometimes I wonder why I live on the East Coast and always miss these great opportunities.... :dunno:

DRAT! Wish I had joined this forum earlier! GRRRR! Missed this event....

Although I have been to Malibu Creek State Park many times....they also used it to film Planet of the Apes, and M.A.S.H.

When I visited it back in the early 80's they still had all the Apes sets standing! It was pretty awesome to stand in the same ampitheater that Ursus did!!
