And I had the biggest crush on Joy on 'The Bugaloos'!! Almost as much a Holly on 'Land of the Lost'!

MaryMary5 - June 3, 2007 01:52 AM (GMT)
Hi Steve4. Space Giants was a Japanese live action, much along the line of Ultraman.

There was a family of rocket/robots who lived in a volcano(?). The father figure was Goldar. BIG gold robot with Fabio hair who turned into a rocket when he was needed to save the world. His wife,Silvar, was smaller, but also had the same powers.

Their son looked like any other child , except he had a goofy helmet with antenna sticking out. He was friends with a mortal and when danger came up , the robot boy turned into a rocket and his friend who ride in him.

There was a specific bad guy, but I can't remember his name.

:dunno:

Spiderman; anything from the Hanna-Barbera stable; Family Guy; Popeye; Bugs Bunny; Ren & Stimpy; and I am probably the only person who liked The Brothers Grunt.

As far as films go, I liked the first Heavy Metal movie and I am a big fan of Ralph Bakshi.

Heavy Metal ... you can't find that anywhere. I taped it when it was on TNT because it was only relased on VHS once! Never saw the sequel ... are they on dvd???

Logan5 - August 29, 2007 12:59 PM (GMT)
The Heavy Metal SEQUEL (Heavy Metal 2000) was crap - don't bother with it, Steve4.

The original one was (and still is) a cult classic! It is available on DVD (try Amazon or Ebay).

The US Hi-Def Cable TV Channel 'HDNet' has shown it in HD and it looks great!! I think it sometimes comes on Cinemax too in HD.

Steve4 - August 29, 2007 04:16 PM (GMT)
Ok, I won't bother with Heavy Meatal 2000, Logan5. Explains a lot. I will look for the orginal on dvd, good to know.

Steve4 - January 22, 2008 02:59 AM (GMT)
Flash Gordon 1980 movie is certainly a guilty pleasure.
