William F Nolan has just sent me his latest "Running With Logan" article and requested that I post it on the Website to share with everyone!

Be sure to visit:

to read his latest letter to all us Logan fans!!

It's a great little history of how he was first approached to get involved with the Logan's Run remake, and chronicles the good times and bad throughout its entire history.

So make sure you read it today - exclusively on our "World of Logan's Run" website!

Wow, I wonder how man ideas cost Hollywood studios so much over such a long period, and never get made?

I was hoping the books would be back in stores with the movie in production, I guess we'll have to wait for that now.

Hum,
I think it's damage if it's not Bryan Singer who made the new movie of "Logan's Run"...

As frustrated as we all are with the lack of progress on the re-make, it must be sooo much worse for Mr. Nolan. Talk about a "roller coaster ride."

I agree...Hollywood is a funny place. I find it very strange how the executives go about their business. Its like this giant exercise of incompitence that they repeat over and over again. I just recently watched ( for the 100th time ) Empire Of Dreams, which is the Star Wars documentary, there is a part in which Allan Ladd talks about the executive board at Fox and the obsticles and deadlines place on them during the filming, they even threatened to shut the project down. The special features in my Alien DVD has an interview with Allen Ladd and again he makes reference to the obsticles set in place by the executive board. It seems that alot of Sci-Fi moves over the years haver been made in spite of the executive boards instead of with their assistance. With all the increadible bad Sci Fi movies that have been released recently. ( Ultra Violett, Blood Rain, The two Matrix sequels, Stealth, Aeon Flux ) one would think that they would be bending over backwards to get this project done. And not just this movie but ALL THREE. I myself am in the process of writing a script but it is incredibly difficult to stop it from sounding like something that has already been done, so I keep starting over and over and over, it is very hard to stay original. The Sci-Fi genre has been getting bushwhacked latley. Its been a long time since we've had a Star Wars, or Alein or Terminator hit the theaters. :lightsaber:

What bothers me is that Warners delibrately has kept Mr. Nolan out of the loop. Examples:

1) Mr. Nolan states that he has never talked let alone met with Joel Silver only Silver's subordinates.

That's not good. At all. It shows that Joel Silver has no time for Mr. Nolan.

2) When Skip Woods left this, Mr. Nolan should have been informed of this. Someone at Warners should have told him. He didn't. He found out afterwards.

I'm sure there are others but those 2 stand out.
