The folks over at The Digital Bits website are reporting that the long, rumored Two-Disc 'Special Edition' Logan's Run DVD may soon be released overseas on or around 4/8/2005!!

This is the second time The Digital Bits have released this rumor (the other time was about 4 years ago). This would help explain why the currently available "Logan's Run" DVD is now selling in the stores for $5.99 (out with the old stock).

Many are wondering if this two-disc special edition set will finally have everything that the old Laserdisc had, and then even some more extra 'goodies' - as in 'Lost scenes???'

No official word yet on what this 'Special Edition' may include or when it would be released here in the states....

Keep those eyes WIDE open for more reports on this interesting rumor.........

*fingers crossed that they find some Lost Footage to include (especially the entire Love Shop scene, Box making the Ice Sculpture, and the first Francis runner scene).

Well April 8, 2005 has come and gone - as did May 6, 2005 - and no word on this reported new DVD version of "Logan's Run" in Germany.

Sounds like someone was toying with the folks over at The Digital Bits again.

Oh well - like all rumors - at least they generate 'renewed' interest in old things.... :)
