Title: Transportation within the Domes?

MaryMary5 - June 19, 2006 11:22 AM (GMT)
I have a question. At the beginning of the film we see a huge complex of various sized Domes. Each Dome seems to be butting next to another , BUT still seems individual. So, my question is ----how do you travel between these domes? Do the Maze Cars go sub-terranean to enter another domed area?

Ground level. The domes seemed to be married just at the edges.

Which leads to antoher interesting discussion....

What other transportation is available for the citizens of the Domes.

We all know that they use Maze Cars to get around - but do you also think that maybe The Circuit could be used for transportation, as well?

We know that the Circuit is used by people wanting to have 'a good time', but can it also be used for travel within the Domes?

I'm not sure - as it seems that the person on the Circuit has no control of where they are going. But maybe they COULD have control if using 'another channel' on it, per se.... Why waste such good technology for just one Social benefit.

Not sure how the circuit worked, but it seemed that neither the rider nor the caller determined who went where. It may have been more like a row of elevators in a skyscrapper. The caller pushes the button, and the next available "ride" shows up. Sometimes the elevator opens, but it's going the "wrong way", like with Logan's first call.

True. And Logans expression when he made that "Wrong Call" was priceless!
But,that might only be one aspect of the Circuit. There might be the more common use for making the longer trips because it doesn't look like there are alot of tracks for Maze Cars in the City.
