Title: WFN reads "Logan's Run" over the Net!!
Description: Well - sort of... :)

I mentioned this briefly in another tread on these forums, but wanted to post this in here as well, just in case anyone's interested.

Back in 1989, Dove Books on Tape released a double cassette recording of William F Nolan reading his SciFi classic "Logan's Run" - but slightly Abridged

In any case, the audiotape has been discontinued for quite some time. But there is an online company called Audible.com that still has WFN's Logan reading available online for download purchase.

Their online store is located at:

http://www.audible.com

While there, do a search for Logan's Run or William F Nolan to find it.

Bill does a very nice job reading his abridged "Logan's Run" edition. The tapes run for about 3 hours total. I'm assuming the online version that's available for download is the same as the tape version, but I'm not really sure. I would guess that it is. I've never bought from Audible before.

Not many Logan fans are aware that this exists, so I just mention it in passing through the "Books of Logan's Run" forum in case anyone wants to check it out.... It's even got a short free sample recording of Bill reading the part where Logan is chasing Doyle 10 at the beginning of the novel.

Good news...

Audible.com has reposted "Logan's Run" (as read by Bill Nolan) for download purchase! Grab it now at:

http://www.audible.com/adbl/site/products/...UseBVCookie=Yes

before it disappears again....

There's even a cool little sound sample there, so you all can hear what Bill sounds like - if you haven't before....

My only complaint -- it's abridged. Oh well - guess they didn't want it running over two tapes.
