Title: Dome City in 3D
Description: crosseyed freeviewing & Pulfrich effect

Many of the tracking shots in Logan's run can be viewed in 3D. This shot from the title credits doesn't have a huge amount of parallax, but enough to get the idea:

This is a crosseyed freeview image. To see it in 3D, cross your eyes, and reform an image in the center. Takes a little practice.

Also, many scenes can be viewed in 3D while the movie is playing, as long as the camera is tracking left or right. Get an old pair of sunglasses. In fact get two pairs of old sunglasses. Knock out a lens on the left side on one pair, and a lens on the right side on the other. This will give you what's called a Pulfrich effect viewer-- actually two of them. Anytime the camera is tracking left to right, or vice versa, the image will go stereoscopic-- you'll need to match the direction of the tracking shot to the correct pair of shades. If things are moving in the frame in the opposite direction, it will look weird, as foreground becomes background (called pseudoscopic), but ignore it. You can see the miniature sets stereoscopically.

BTW, I'm running, but I have the world's only prototype of the DS Assault Pistol, stolen from Sandman Hq. Takes out a platoon of Sandmen at the touch of a button...

I remember quite a few years ago they used to have that 3D effect in magazines like "Starlog". They did that with some images from the UFO series.
3dddman,I am a former Sandman. David4. I am running also and am currently in New You 483. Logan5 showed me the way. Glad you got the DS Assault Pistol. They hadn't yet unveiled that prototype when I reached Last Day.

Here's anothe shot in 3D using the Starlog anaglyphic format. For this one, you'll need a pair of comic book red/cyan glasses (red on the left side). This is night, so there's not a lot of contrast or details. I can make them from daylight scenes if anyone's interested.

Note: I converted the color image to B/W, because color anaglyphic images can cause problems if any of the filtered colors appear in the image. But I'll do one in color anaglyph if interested...
