Anyone ever see a STL file format of the Blaster? I'd like to make a SLA of this, but the only advanced print I've seen so far is from a French website. For anyone who isn't familliar with SLA, it's a plastic or resin (or metal) 3D reproduction of a CAD file (STL, typically) Once a STL file is loaded, a laser 'Prints' the item by forming it from a batch of liquid, takes about 1/2 a day, plus curing. I've used this process several times in the automotive prototyping industry, it's highly accurate and cheap, ($200approx.) If anyone has a lead on a 3D CAD file, please let me know.
Why spend a fortune to get what I sell for $300.00?? :wallbash:
My model (less some srinkage) is made right off a real movie gun, I had to clean up defects from the real gun as fans felt it was too crappy....
The on/off scratched into the paint on the real gun by the toggle switch is reproduced in my castings.
