Could anybody update me on the state of play with the LR movie remake ?? I can only watch the original so many times :rolleyes:

With Singer finishing up on "Superman Returns", I hope we'll be hearing more about the "Logan's Run" movie soon.

Here's an update on the Logan's Run remake from Bryan Singer himself posted just YESTERDAY (2/13/06) at The Movie Reporter website!!!!

Short but sweet....

1. They're aiming to start production for the film around October, November 2006 timeframe - with a projected release date sometime around 2008!! :omg:
2. Chris McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects) is now actively involved in finishing the script
3. Locations being eyed for shooting include Vancouver and possibly Berlin
4. No word yet on casting
5. "The Island" doesn't effect his "Logan's Run" vision at all....

This is more good news indeed. Bryan Singer strikes me as a man of his word; as he is doing what has said he would do. We shall see what happens. Is fall a long way off? Sure. Is 2008 a long wait? You bet. Could any/all of this change at any time? Yes it can. But there is a real hope here. I still belive that this will happen.
As far as I'm concered, all is going well according to plan.

In the meantime, let's wait and see. For now we can relax and enjoy Superman Returns this summer as it promises to be not only a great film but definitive Superman.

Sounds good, at last a more definitive date line, cheers for that. I wonder is any of the original cast will get cameo's in the remake :D
