According to the latest interview with Logan's Run producer Joel Silver, the Logan's Run remake is tentatively slated to start filming next Summer (2006) with a release target date set for either 2007 or 2008. :blahblah:
The complete interview can be read here:

I'm surprised that they did not shoot for a release of Summer 2006, just to coincide with the 30th Anniversary of the original film. Then again, it makes sense(if you could call the idea of remaking a classic just that)that the film be released in 2007. That year is the 40th Anniversary of the original novel.
I'm still keeping an opened mind about the entire thing. But honestly, I really wish they would not go through with the whole re-make thing. I've seen and heard enough about remakes to last me a lifetime. :guns:

2008? :wallbash:
Well... I guess that makes sense since Bryan Singer is tied up through summer 2006 with Superman Returns. Then he will probably want a month or two off to chill. Then, start shooting Logan in the fall/winter of 2006. That would put the release at 12 to 16 months away from the start of filming. So I figure seeing the new Logan released to theaters sometime between Nov 2007 to March 2008 (I hope so anyway).
These situations invariably end up just like job-interview/hiring situations: it ALWAYS takes longer to happen than they say it will! Let's just hope it's worth the wait.
I'm sure Logan's Run will be worth the wait. Bryan Singer gave us the Usual Suspects, the X-Men and X-Men 2, and is curently working on Superman Returns.
Please check out the below url for the official Superman Returns website. You will see that both Superman and Logan are in good hands.
