Title: "The Most Dangerous Run"

Sorry to admit that the episode title escape me, but I well remember the episode in which Logan is hunted by a gun collector as sport. It has stuck in my mind for these almost thirty years. At the time I was not aware that it was just another riff on the novel and film (many film versions, actually) of THE MOST DANGEROUS GAME.
I recall that "The Incredible Hulk" did a version of the same story as well.
Is this episode well-received by fans?

Hi Sir Rhosis,
Welcome to the boards.
I believe the actual title of episode you're referring to is "Capture" (Episode #3) and IMHO, it is one of the better episodes of the series.
Although I don't remember much of it, I do recall that it was very well written and had a great confrontation between Logan and Francis near the end.
I think you're right -- a lot of shows back then used "The Most Dangerous Game" as a plot device - and using it in this particular Logan episode made for a very enjoyable hour of television! :D

This is one of my favourite LR series adventures. There's quite a few things I like about this. I like how Logan and Francis team up together for a while. I like Randolph Powell as Francis, always makes me smile whenever he shows up. :)

Yes I like the "Most Dangerous Game" episodes.
In "Logan's Run", it's 'Capture'. Here the villians have been kidnapping Runners so that they can hunt them down as sport. Jessica is kidnapped as bait for Logan and Francis. I love it when Jessica relises this and goes "You've been hunting runners!" and the villaness goes, "They were prety easy, not to much sport." Later the villian goes to Logan and Francis, "Sandmen! It's been said that you're the most dangerous men alive! Now you're going to prove it to me!" The villian hunts Logan and Francis. Very cool story.
Yes The Incredible Hulk also used "the Most Dangerous Game" as an episode (can't remember title, sorry) where David has been kidnapped and taken to an island and trapped in a house run by a psychotic hunter. Cool stuff.
Earlier "the Green Hornet" used "the Most Dangerous Game" story as an episode "Hunters and the Hunted' in which bored, wealthy big game hunters begin to hunt criminals as sport.

Don't forget the episode of 'Gilligan's Island' where the hunter had to hunt down Gilligan before time expired.
He was such a nice guy to keep his word after time ran out for our old buddy Gilligan!

Here's the details of the Gilligan's Island episode (The Hunter - 1967).
http://www.answers.com/topic/gilligan-s-is...nter-tv-episodeObviously, the hunter (Jonathan Kincaid) never keeps his promise to rescue everyone after Gilligan wins the contest, thinking that they'd turn him in to the authorities for trying to kill Gilligan once they got back to the mainland.
