Grunge Wall

>> For this tutorail you will need Photoshop CS, because we use a new feature it has called "Fibers".
>> You will be creating a wall that looks grungey, and maybe even look like something from a horror movie. I have used the image below, because I thought it works good with the effect.

01>> First off, lets open the image you just saved to your computer.

02>> Now duplicate the Background layer (Right click on it and goto Duplicate Layer) and set the new layers Blending Mode to Overlay. The image below shows what your layer window and image should look like.

03>> Select the Background Copy layer, and goto Image>Adjustments>>Brightness/Contrast and use the following settings.

04>> Now duplicate the Background Copy layer, and duplicate it again. The layer window is shown below, as is the image you should have.

05>> Now select the top layer, and set its Blending Mode back to Normal. Set your colours back to black and white by hitting 'D'.

06>> Now goto Filter>Render>>Fibers and use the following settings. Hit the randomize button a few times to, until you have something close to mine.

07>> Once you have done that, there will be a bunch of black vertical streaks on your image, now set the Blending Mode of this layer to Soft Light. You should have something like this.

08>> Now you have a wall that looks grungey, and for a final touch, I added a blood splat to it. I used a brush set from Deviant Art for this, if you want to download it to use, it is here. http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/11819573/ I used the brush called "bloodsplatter2" from the set with a Master Diameter of about 575.

09>> If you are putting a splatter of blood on the wall, add a new layer, and brush on a splat of blood near the middle of the photo, where it is lighter. Now set the blending mode of the new blood splat layer to Darken. This is what it should look like.
