Updated Rules(I know they sound a bit forcey, but it works):

Registering an account is an acknowledgement that you intend to follow the rules and decorum of HGANB Forums. What follows are rules created by the Administration. The Administration reserves the right to alter, enforce, add, or waive any rules for any specific member at any time.

There is no flaming. Flaming makes for a negative atmosphere and it will not be tolerated. That means you should avoid yelling at and needlessly criticizing other members.

There is no trolling. Trying to force someone into an argument it not allowed.

Post in the right forum! If it's a Spin-off, post it in the Spin-offs forum. Even if it's only humour, an observation, or angst, if it's about something that we have a forum for, post it there. Resist the temptation to post something off topic because you think you'll get "better responses" in a particular forum. We know there are a lot a forums and it can be confusing to choose the right one to post in. If you are unsure, consult a Moderator or Administrator.

Do not post a topic with partial information. Don't post a topic with only part of the point you want to make and state that you will post the rest of your thought when X amount of people reply. That's a form of spamming and is not allowed.

Respect those in authority here. Being rude to an Administrator or Moderator is highly Annoying and will be dealt with using the highest possible punishment.

Roles of officials:

Administrators: There are the four Administrators of this site. General O'Neill, Colonel Nicoletti, Adamu, and Dakana. All four are equal partners in this forum known as HGANB Forums, and all four have an almost equal voice in its direction. If a General O'Neill makes a decision, do not go running to another admin looking to have the decision reversed – it’s not going to happen. However, if Colonel Nicoletti, Adamu or Dakana make a decision, General O'Neill has the power to override that decision if he so wishes, which he usually doesn't. Once an admin issues a judgment, it is as good as written in stone should they and General O'Neill want to stick to it.

Moderators: Moderators run the day-to-day operations of the forums. They are chiefly responsible for the enforcement of these guidelines you are reading right here. When a Moderator issues a reprimand or a judgment, it is to be followed. A Moderator’s decision will hardly ever be reversed by a member of the Administration. Should you have a problem with a decision a Moderator makes, discuss it with the moderator, or the Moderator Chief -- General O'Neill.

HGANB Forums Etiquette Rules:

Be careful with that damn post button. This reduces the chances of double-posting, and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Also, scan the subjects of other posts to make sure you aren't duplicating posts. Also, consider what forum your topic should be posted in.

DO NOT use stupid acronyms in excess. Things like LOL and ROFL, STFU are annoying to most people, and will NOT be tolerated.

Be considerate of transfer speeds. HTML is currently disabled, but if it is enabled at a later date, the use of is, embedded objects, java and javascript are not welcome. Not everyone has T1! DO NOT attempt to subvert, modify, or disrupt the normal flow or display of the Forum or its content.

Don't be snappy or a know it all. People don't appreciate such an attitude and it leads to a cold-feeling forum.

If you are a member of the website 'Bioniclevault', you will be regarded with high scrutiny by Admins, Mods and Members. The smallest infringement may get you banned.

Thyne Evil Censored Board is also a scrutinized site, unless the member has cleared it with me.

HGANB Storyworld Punishment System (Currently being Implemented):

First, let's get our little disclaimer out of the way.

HGANB Storyworld DISCLAIMER

The Administrators (General O'Neill, Dakana, HND) have the right to change this system at ANY time without notice.

HGANB Storyworld PUNISHMENT SYSTEM

1. Warns.
If any of these rules are bent before any member has read and understood these rules, one warn will be issued. This Will be taken away when the actvity stops. The member officially apologizes in a topic that will be moved to an Invisible Forum. This will be used as an archive of reprimanded members that WILL be used to find out if you are a previous offender, so don't make with the nicey-nicey.
If any of these rules are bent after any member has read and understood these rules, two warns will be issued and placed into the warn archives.

2. Restrictions
If rules are Broken, this will result in a restriction. This will involve limiting access to forum viewing and posting. Only the most basic of forums will be open to them. Any of these punishments will be added to the RESTRICTION ARCHIVES, and will be accessable by any Admin/Moderator.

3. Suspensions
If rules are broken after the restriction has finished, said member will get a suspension. This involves members ONLY being able to PM. Forums will be readable, but not postable in. Again, any of these punishments will be added to the SUSPENSION ARCHIVES.

4. Banning
If more offenses are commited after a suspension, said member will be banned and His/her Internet Protocol Address saved and Posted with the offense and member name in BAN ARCHIVES.

5. Internet Protocol Address Banning.
If said person re-registers after Banning, The Internet Protocol address in the BAN ARCHIVES will be banned from accessing the board.
