xjessx - August 22, 2006 05:07 PM (GMT)
Fear, Stress and Anger (BBC2): A comedy from Michael Atkins (who wrote Waiting For God). Peter Davison (Doctor Who) and Pippa Haywood (Green Wing) play a couple who discover they have become the 'sandwich generation' – their 20-something children won't leave home and their ancient parents won't shuffle off the stage.

i dont know the exact date but i know its due out in autumn with lot of other new comedies...cant wait!!

it has the guy wo used to play the dad in neve mind the braithwaites in it :D

IMO - February 22, 2007 09:06 AM (GMT)
Peter Davidson, Peter Davidson. Not only from The Braithwaites, but All Creatures Great and Small and he was The Doctor  Ohhh and a brilliant dark comedy called A Very Peculiar Practice which has completely disappeared

Sorry what are we talking about. Ohhh yes, also saw the trailer for this last night and it actually looks quite good, although I did read a really bad review for it

It clashes with Bonkers - not that I've been watching that. Why, aghhhhh because everything clashes with ER :swearing

And for that reason I have developed a lasting and committed, intense affection, dare I say even love, for the Sky+ box. If I ever leave my boyfriend, it'll be for a Sky+ engineer!!

i'm quite looking forward to this tonight, although I haven't seen any trailer for it yet.

Hnmmmm well since we've been taken over by Virgin Media they say they offer a Sky+ type service, but I haven't pressed any buttons to work out how yet

Actually I don't think it's up and running yet, and our ntlbox still has 'ntl' printed on the front of it :eehee

ElleDoll - February 22, 2007 04:38 PM (GMT)
yeh this is going to be watched in my house whether my mum likes it or not

guyoline - February 22, 2007 04:59 PM (GMT)
yeah we got that letter too - IMO if you go to channel 119 on the ntl box and press red you can watch certain shows - but they don't have er and ATM there are not that great a choice of shows on t right now - but the channel has just launched so meh!

anyway.. yeah everything clashes with ER - but it is on on monday and nothing is on on a monday so i may watch it then..

Dr. Baroline Trodd - February 22, 2007 10:02 PM (GMT)
I...wasn't very impressed, really. It sort of reminded me of My Family but with better camera working and colouring...Pippa was brilliant, but very Joanna-ish, but Peter Robinson was...well. Not very good, in my opinion.

xjessx - February 22, 2007 10:15 PM (GMT)
I dont think she was very Joanna......There were a few months when i though..i could see Joanna doing that...shes very different from her character as Joanna...she nice for a start, she not a bitch, she not obssesed with her age, i really liked it!

Dr. Baroline Trodd - February 22, 2007 10:22 PM (GMT)
Yeah, true, but there was a bit where she told that Ron guy to 'go away' and it was incredibly Joanna-to-Martin ish lol

xjessx - February 22, 2007 10:24 PM (GMT)
Well there is always going to be little simliairies...lol its properly cos she say that exact line in green wing lol properly to Alan!!

guyoline - February 22, 2007 10:35 PM (GMT)
oh i really liked it I thought it was quite funny - my sister thought it was good too

the toilet bit was funny but i was like "my pippa!" and the end where they just combust into laughter

but my gosh why do they allow for people to rip them off? £900 for a check on a car <_< and then £400 or whatever it was to fix the toilet that they didn't fix it's just wrong... i would not stand for it

but i liked the whole asthma stress thing it was like aww bless her!

and the big issue dude

I liked their use of "don't stop me now" by queen - i thought it was good but now the song won't be out of my head all week and once it is the next episode will be on

xjessx - February 22, 2007 10:38 PM (GMT)
I think the song Dont stop me now his the one by Mcfly..why did they have to use Mcfly their crap!

I missed teh begining as always!!

oH and the toilt thing cost 200 pound...cos yeah i just know that!

guyoline - February 22, 2007 10:51 PM (GMT)
yeah but they came before hand so wouldn't that make it £400

and no they used the queen version cause they played it at the begining...

and why would their child want to go to Iraq

and that couple that came over were funny - they acted like children haha!
and the bit where he said he had a stiffie

IMO - February 23, 2007 09:27 AM (GMT)
I thought it was quite good, well the bits I managed to watch inbetween various boys interrupting me when they should be in bed <_<

bingle - February 23, 2007 10:08 AM (GMT)
Ok, I recorded this last night and I've just watched it, and I'm not sure quite what to make of it... I agree a little bit with whoever said it reminded them of My Family, particularly Peter Davidson's character.
I'll definitely be watching it next week tho.

ElleDoll - March 1, 2007 09:30 PM (GMT)
