i have a minor speculation...

in an interview i read about stephen, it says at the beginning they were filming the final scene of green wing, with guy and caroline, and it was at a station.

When Caroline's husband turned up, he said something like "her real husband is here now, I'm in trouble"....

so what i was thinking was that Guy and caroline kiss on the platform, which is why stephen said that....

or maybe im reading WAY too much into it lol....

but everyone said that they are keeping quite tight wraps on what is happening with the whole car/mac, guy/car situation....

and the overview of that episode does say that guy, mac and martin give caroline an offer......

just a musing.....

This might not be a favoured view but I hope she does end up with Guy because he needs the love of a good woman. Caroline & Mac together at the end would be a very predictable end to the series. I also wondered the same as you when I saw the article. It could be though that she is just dropping him at the station because he's lost his driving licence.

o yeah, fair enuf... but tis always interesting to wonder, and it is the sort of twist that the gw crew might come up with....

well, what if guy, mac and martin gave caroline one of those moral dilemmas, but she said no to that, but maybe part of it was something to do with mac or guy, so she says yes to that...

then theoretically she has said no to their offer, but yes to them - like she actually rather than theoretically said yes to their offer...

(I'm referring to the synopsis of episode 8 there)

Oooh, highly probable that it's to do with a Guy/Caroline marriage sort of thing, though I do think it's more likely he asks her rather than they actually do get married., because he did say 'her REAL husband'. Also, I seem to remember Sue telling him to go marry Caroline, and him replying that he had planned to at some point.

I can't decide who I want Caroline with, but I have to admit, I'd probably enjoy Caroline and Guy more...more scope for comedy, and tragic 'Mac and Caroline can never be togeher...' moments.

I'm going to go completely off the subject of animals for a second and say I think that call at Caroline's house *could* have been Mac. Because it would've been easy for Guy to know Caro was trying to find a pig, or at least guess she was spinning them a yarn. Anyway, when I first heard her yelling:

"Will you stop pestering me you bad nuisance caller"

that was my first thought, especially since she doesn't wait for an answer on the other end. Or maybe I'm just over-analysing again... :) could be though.

Guy and Caroline all the way tho cause Caroline would be able to exerscise a little control over him. It's really sweet...the whole love triangle thing makes me giggle!! :lol:

I have another theory, Mac is off to the side of the kitchen as Caroline's message is playing (series 2, ep 6), perhaps he was listening from the kitchen and will confront Holly about it later? :) He must've heard the 'message deleted' bit at least.
