Did anyone notice in the last episode, when Mac gives Sue the restraining order and she starts talking in Portugese that she says 'me llamo Michelle', not Sue.

I didn't notice that, lol. I did notice, however, I had a distinct impression some of what she said was Spanish rather than Portuguese.

lol yeah! i was watching it with my mum who's portuguese and she said that she was talking spanish.

Opportunity to re-awaken this thread! lol. Yeah, I noticed that when I first saw it.. she also says her parents are Spanish :S I was sitting there like this :jawdrop just because I actually knew something for a change!

the thing is - michelle is actually portuguese!

well... she's scottish but the name "Gomez" is portuguese.

so whhhhyyyyy oh why was she talking spanish? and say her parents were spanish?

but she says that she could speak to him in portugeuse

so it makes even less sence if she was in fact speaking spanish :blink: :blink: :blink:

i love that she's portuguese! makes me slightly more proud of my heritage!

the only other famous portuguese person (that i can think of right now) is nelly furtado and that is NOTHING to be proud about.

I keep watching this scene, and I still can't hear her say Michelle. :( In my defence though, she's talking very fast. And I don't speak Spanish/Portugese.

I think she says:
... porque mi madre y padre español, porque mi nombre es Michelle *disintigrates into mumbles*

.. because my mother and father Spanish, because my name is Michelle..

what is it with the writers and portugese? boyce writes in it in one of his emails to statham in the script book and its one of the languages that caroline wantes to learn.
