Just imagining that and thinking about how funny it would be. :roflmao
The film looks very promising so I'm getting all excited. It will be on general release, right?
poo on a plate - August 2, 2006 09:18 PM (GMT)
I'm not sure LS. I hope so.
Little_Simba - August 2, 2006 09:21 PM (GMT)
It had better be. I'm not going to miss this one like I did Confetti. *cries uncontrollably about that again* OK, I'm fine now.
poo on a plate - August 2, 2006 09:23 PM (GMT)
Oh bless you :hug I don't want to miss this either. It had better be on general release or I'll shake my fist so hard I'll need to be hospitalised.
Little_Simba - August 4, 2006 11:08 PM (GMT)
As long as you insist on going into East Hampton Hospital, that wouldn't be that bad a thing.
poo on a plate - August 4, 2006 11:37 PM (GMT)
Ahh! *starts shaking fist hard*
Mac'sBestGirl - August 5, 2006 07:56 PM (GMT)

i take it that its a comedy. ( i didnt have my sound on.)
i agree we go to the same cinima and take over. that would be hilarious. We should have greenwing trips and outings. We are tecnicly a club after all.
Any way,it will defintly be on at my cinima. every film is. lucky me!
Little_Simba - August 17, 2006 07:14 PM (GMT)
I hope it's a comedy but I think it'll only be part comedy.
I've just noticed something awful about this film... Its duration is just 77 mins!! JUST 77 MINS?!?!?! That is not enough Stephen! BASTARDS!!! :swearing :sob

Little_Simba - August 17, 2006 07:21 PM (GMT)
Ballcocks... I've been trying to search for info on when and where this film is on and I'm not having much luck. I would have thought there would be something if the release date is imminent. I'm getting worried now, lol.
poo on a plate - August 18, 2006 10:50 AM (GMT)
The last I heard they were waiting to find a distributor or however the funk you spell it.
Little_Simba - August 19, 2006 03:35 PM (GMT)
Bugger, looks like we're in for a bit of a wait yet.
poo on a plate - August 19, 2006 03:37 PM (GMT)
Sadly, yes. There's a very promising review on IMDB, and here's a link to an interview with the director, which just makes me want to see it even more.

Yeah, me too. Recognition comedy is wonderful. I think this is going to be a film I'm going to fast fall in love with. It certainly sounds good from what we can tell. :) :) :)
poo on a plate - August 19, 2006 04:17 PM (GMT)
Ooh yes, I like that it's not going to be your typical comedy either. The more I hear about the film, the better it sounds.
kittyofdoom - August 20, 2006 09:25 AM (GMT)
Argh, Quicktime's giving me jip. I hate it now, I used to love the Apple Movie Trailers webpage but I can't view any of them anymore, and I *have* bloody Quicktime. Oh well.

guyoline - September 8, 2007 11:19 AM (GMT)
ok well I managed to pick up a londer paper last night whilst waiting for Paramore... anyway, it had a breif interview with steve and a review of someone else which apparently is out now - which I assume means it came out yesterday (the 7th)
however in the WHOLE of london it's only playing in 3 cinemas so I may have to wait until the dvd comes out - oohh signing potential anyway:

someone else review, 3.5 stars, 78mins starring: Stephen Mangan, Susan Lynch
London on film is either achingly grim (sugarhouse) or flavoured with a double dose of saccharine (any Richard Curtis flick). Thank Heavens then that Col Spector has chosen a bog-standard capital to prop up his story of a bog-standard love life. David (Mangan) dumps his full-on, long-term girlfriend (Lynch) for a more flightly bird, only for her to leave. The credible cast and unashamed honesty makes for fist-gnawingly cringing moments in an accomplished feature debut for spector |
not a bad review I gues for such a small film
mangan interview:
| QUOTE |
life after Green wing Stephen Mangan stars as hapless singleton David in the London-set film someone else. The former 'Green Wing' star tells us about his own dating wildness, scavenging in bins and why Keira Knightly is rubbish. This isn't exactly a date movie - who will see it? It could be an interesting one for a date. It's a thoughtful film and more honest about what sometimes goes on in some men's heads What's the history? We did a short film about five years ago. I was pretty much the same character and Keira Knightly was the girl I met at a party. But Keira was rubbish in the short so we didn't want her back, ha ha. No, but she would have been wrong for the Susan Lynch part. What about the joys of low-budget films? Did you get a Trailer? NO! It was shot for about 70p - we were all searching in bins for our food. But a lot of it was filmed very close to my house, so I could go home for lunch. Did you always plan to do comedy? No, but this business tells you what to do. If you've got the soul of a poet but the face of a bouncer, you're going to play bouncers. So do you look like a bit of a bastard? I find funny people who don't realise what pricks they're being. There's a certain lack of vanity in playing d**heads. And think about it: in robin hood: prince of theives, would you rather be Kevin Costner or Alan Rickman? No Romantic leads then? Well, David isn't a monster - he's a bit self-obessed but he tries. Unfortunately, I know I've got a face closer to wee Jimmy Krankie's then Jude Law's |
