Chapter 1

Caroline and Guy returned to the hospital after their perfect weekend and for the first time since she started her job, Caroline felt at ease. But there was still one worry that kept echoing in her mind, Mac.
How was he going to react? She, the girl he cared about, was going to marry his best friend? After all they’d been through? She felt awful.
Wait, why should SHE feel guilty! It wasn’t HER fault that Mac was a coward and couldn’t admit his feelings! It was his loss, because she had Guy now…
Yet why was that feeling not going away?
She suddenly saw Mac in the distance. What was she going to do?

Loving it so far Debbie! I've been terrible with fics lately, because I wasn't around much for a few days and they all suddenly sprouted hundreds of new pages! I intend to catch with them all eventually, but for now I will say that I am looking forward to more of this lovely fic! :D

Chapter 2

“Oh god…” Mac froze as he saw Caroline from a distance. How was he going to tell her? How could he tell the women who loved him that he’d met someone new? He hadn't planned to, in fact when Guy sent him the word that she’d said yes to his proposal he was going to go after her. But now… he didn’t feel the same anymore. Caroline would probably hate him. Seeing as he was dating one of her friends. God, ONE OF HER FRIENDS! He’d only just realised how bad that sounded! He’d gone and ruined their friendship forever! Or had he? I mean, she loves Guy now, she might be happy for him and Debbie… Oh Debbie, why did you have to bloody torment me! And what the hell dose “See ya when I see ya.” mean?! They’d had a good evening together, all smiles and laughter, walks to her house, she kisses him on the cheek AND THEN SHE BLOODY SAYS THAT! Leaving him very confused. Did he like her? did she like him? Or was it just a faze? Suddenly he realised Caroline was about to speak to him, having caught up with him. Oh god, what was he going to do?

Chapter 3

Debbie was sitting in the waiting room of the hospital, humming happily to herself. Today had been perfect so far. She’d seen Mac and given him a batch of her special banana cookies as an apology for the night before and they’d arranged another date. Suddenly she noticed Mac talking to her friend Caroline. She wasn’t surprised by this, Caroline and Mac work together so… wait, he was getting pretty close… NO! how could he? Debbie's eyes blinked back tears as Mac and Caroline were locked in a passionate embrace. How could he do this to her? He’d said… oh well, it didn’t matter now. How could Caroline do this to her? NO! it wasn’t Caroline's fault, she's a friend and she didn’t start it, it was HIS fault. Well, if she meant that LITTLE to him, he could bugger off! With that she stormed away, upset angry and hurt.

aww poor Debbie! Mac is a bastard. A bastard I say!

Chapter 4

Mac walked into the hospital canteen, very confused. He KNEW he didn’t love Caroline, yet he kissed her none the less. As soon as he realised what he was doing he’d pulled away, but he still felt that he had to tell Debbie. It wasn’t going to be easy, because it would mean him in the process admitting to Debbie that he wanted HER and needed HER. He wasn’t good with words when it came to his feelings, but he needed to tell her what happened before someone else did. When he finally spotted her his heart sank, she was standing in the queue next to Sue White. They seemed too be talking animatedly, as though they were friends, and far too busy to notice him. Stealthily he creped up behind Debbie and put his arms around her waist.
“Hello”
Debbie was silent, as if he wasn’t even there. Sue laughed hard as Mac said hello again, but to no avail. She acted as though she couldn’t hear.
“My dear doctor, my friend Debbie is not talking to you, and I don’t blame her you heartless cad! On guard!”
Mac struggled to fend Sue off as she started to beat him over the head repeatedly with something that resembled a baguette as Debbie walked on, seeming to ignore the event which half the canteen was now watching animatedly.
After throwing a bowl at Sue (which knocked her out) he ran over to Debbie's table were she was now pealing a banana.
“Debbie I…”
Before he could even finish, Debbie shoved the banana in his mouth, slapped him and walked off. Leaving Mac alone.

Chapter 5

Mac rode his Motor bike into work with one agenda for that day, get Debbie back. It wasn’t going to be easy, with Debbie avoiding him or hitting him, a Baguette welding Sue as her new body guard and Simba as her attack dog but hey, he was in love. The only up of the whole thing was that Sue was no longer obsessed with him. In fact she’d moved all her attention onto a very fearful Martin who was now trying his hardest to hide from Sue.
As he got to his parking space to park however, love turned to anger. He found Debbie's Pink Yamaha V-Star 1100 Classic parked in HIS space. Furious, Mac had to park in Debbie's old parking space, which was 17 rows from the entrance and all uphill.
As he finally walked through the entrance he saw red. Debbie was wearing pink leathers and flirting outrageously with Boyce, who seemed to be as pleased as punch.
As she pretended to notice him, she said in a sweet ‘butter wouldn’t melt’ voice “Mac! its not like YOU to be late!” and with that walked off grinning as Mac stood fuming.
Bitch! I’ll wipe that smile off her face…
He was about to get revenge when he saw Sue. Unable to resist temptation, he asked her “SUE! Why has my spot been taken!”
“oh, firstly because her job is more important and needs to get here quicker and secondly, you’re a wanker who should be bitch-slapped by all smart women.”
“MORE IMPORTANT JOB!? SHE RUNS THE FUCKING NUSERY!!!”
“and she runs it well, so FACK OFF!”
And with that ,she ran off yelling “COME BACK MY WEE ELF!!!” as Martin ran for dear life.

Chapter 6

Mac reached Sue's office after he’d calmed down. He should of expected that Debbie was pissed off, even he would be if he’d seen his best mate kiss the women he loved. As he had just seen. Bloody Boyce…
As he opened Sue’s door, he overheard a conversation Sue was having on the phone.
“YES I GOT THE ORDER RIGHT! I ordered a cage, a whip, a pair of handcuffs and an elf costume!…”
She noticed Macs look of shock.
“I’ll call you back.” she said to the phone quickly and put it down.
“SO Dr Macartney, what can I do for you?!”
“I want Debbie.”
Sue burst into an evil laugh, then stopped abruptly.
“no.”
“Help me win her back and I will give YOU something you want…”
“Dr Macartney, nothing you can say or do will make me betray my best friend…”
“I know were Martin lives…”
Sues eyes flickered with interest.
“Do you now…”
“AND he has skylights…”
She was on the edge, so Mac went for it.
“AND I know he likes to cook in the nude…”
“OK! I’LL HELP!”

Ooh, so glad you're back and back writing this, *debbie*. I love how you've got Sue completely uninterested in Mac but onto Martin and that last stuff that Mac said in order to bribe Sue was sooooo funny. I'm still laughing! :D I think and hope you and Mac will patch it up but I don't know how. Sue's gonna come up with something wild, isn't she? Heehee.

Chapter 7

Debbie was sitting in the canteen, waiting for Sue. She was slightly worried. Sue had made her PROMISE not to leave her seat till she came, she even told her which table to sit at. She also told her not to order any food. What if she’d gone back to liking Mac and was planning to have her assassinated? Or poison her? She was too young and ditsy to die, and had 13 little children to look after. Ok, they weren't HERS but they were very attached to her.
Suddenly, Sue ran in with a big pink box with ‘custom-made cookies’ written on the side.
“Sorry I’m late! I was picking up these!”
“Sue, what ARE ‘these’?”
“The hospital staff?”
“WHAT?! oh god Sue, your not going to voodoo them again are you?”
“NO! well, not right now… I’m going to tell a story with them first. THIS is YOU.”
Sue pulled out her first cookie. A cookie of a girl, dipped in chocolate.
“Why, Sue, am I dipped in milk chocolate?”
“Because you’re a malteser!”
“Pardon?!”
“You know, your saying! Brown on the outside…”
“...Blonde on the inside, ok that dose make sense. Carry on”
“Ok, and THIS is Mac.”
Sue pulled out of the box a ginger bread man with long hair and green icing scrubs. Debbie laughed uncontrollably.
“YOU two are meant for each other. But are parted by the evil Dr Troll...”
“OY! CAROLINE’S MY FRIEND!”
Sue looked inside her box.
“Better not use THAT cookie then…”
“Sue, this is all very sweet and I thank you, but Mac broke my heart. I cant forgive him just yet…”
“So there's still hope for Gingermac?”
Debbie laughed.
“Yes, there's still hope for Gingermac.”
“Ok, that’s all I need to know.”
Sue left the table, then turned back.
“Can I keep the rest?”
Debbie nodded and Sue walked off with the box, while Debbie looked at the two cookies left on the table.
Her and Mac.
