Title: Hold On! Another Obscure Theory? Surely Not!

I was just thinking about the series 2 cast pic (as you do) And I thought that perhaps it is not as random as you might think.

Thinking about episode 9 and the SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT

wedding that is rumoured, and thinking about Guy's top 5 attributes in a woman - bendy, shaved, 5% lesbian, slightly anorexic, and not too smelly in the cellar, I got to thinking. (Don't worry, I am going somewhere with this) It is no secret that Guy has a strong fanbase, and the writers would not want fans to be left broken hearted. So perhaps they give Guy a happy ending.

The kilt he's wearing in the pic suggests that maybe, perhaps, possibly, perhaps Guy and Sue get married? Guy seemed to describe Sue perfectly in his top 5 attributes (granted, I have no idea whether or not Sue is smelly in the cellar) but it seems like it could be a likely plotline?

Also would like to add, I'm still rather drunk, and god only knows if this makes sense to anybody.

You know, now that you come to mention his top 5 attributes, when he said 5% lesbian, I did immediately think of Sue :) but that was subconcious I think, hehe. I don't know if it'll lead anywhere, but it's an interesting theory nonetheless. Good batting, thinkman.

I don't know why, but I'm feeling hysterical, and you made me laugh so much with that line Kitty! And POAP, you are quite the Sherlock aren't you? Nice detective work. :) I hope you're wrong, no offence obviously, but I have a nasty feeling the writers would do that.
BTW, Guy looks lovely there...

poo on a plate - July 23, 2006 10:36 AM (GMT)
Hehe cheers Guys. Oh, I hope I'm wrong too.

IMO - July 23, 2006 01:51 PM (GMT)
I've never understood that picture. Why is Guy the only one in a kilt when all the others are in dance attire :wtf

I personally would love to see Guy marry Sue, and you're right she does fit in with his 5 attributes for a women. However, it's going to be a lot to fit into 90 minutes. i.e. Guy and Caroline break up, Mac discovers he isn't dying, Mac and Caroline get together, Guy and Sue fall in love, Guy and Sue get married. Oh and there's a funeral to be squashed in there as well.

poo on a plate - July 23, 2006 02:36 PM (GMT)
Very true. There would need to be a hell of a lot of the speed ups to fit all of that in!

and that's not counting martin, staham and joann'as prediciment. and karen. and not having anything from harriet and lyndon and kim and boyce and rachel.

shouldn't there be a wedding too?

Exactly, there's so much to be included I couldn't type it all in one go.

Well I included Guy and Sue getting married - isn't that a wedding. Ohhh, *bounces* of course there's Mac and Caroline's wedding *bounces some more*

PigRescuer - July 23, 2006 07:01 PM (GMT)
oops sorry didn't spot that.

but doesn't sue think she's already married (albeit to a husband with a restraining order taken out on her) so she would think she's a bigamist?

why am i arguing with this? it's Sue.

IMO - July 23, 2006 08:17 PM (GMT)
But if she see's Mac and Caroline marrying, the veil in front of her eyes might lift and she will realise that the man she really loves has been there all the time, i.e. Guy.

Hang on excuse me while I go and throw up :eehee

PigRescuer - July 23, 2006 08:46 PM (GMT)

that was a bit cheesy.

Little_Simba - July 25, 2006 07:46 PM (GMT)
:jawdrop I'm not sure the pic you referred to is relevant to this BUT... I think there's something in your theory!!! Well, I'm not going to go as far as to say I think it's right as in it will be what happens in episode 9 (although you never know) but it does make a lot of sense with Guy's ideal woman description and we all know there's a sexual atmos wherever those two are together. They may get together in the final ep, even if they don't get married.

Nice one, POAP! :yeeay

poo on a plate - July 25, 2006 07:52 PM (GMT)
hehe Cheers. Alcohol does wonders for my think box. (don't drink, kids)

I do have my suspicions, and I think if Guy and Caro don't end up together (god forbid) then I would like Guy to have some happiness, and him and Sue have amazing chemistry.

lora4dan - July 29, 2006 03:23 PM (GMT)
POAP! if theres a reason why guy is in a kiltits cause he is marrying caroline. Thats it. Plus if we start takin that pic literally surley there would have to be a ballet in the last ep too?

poo on a plate - July 29, 2006 03:25 PM (GMT)
hehe I would LOVE to see Green Wing: The Ballet.

I'm sorry Lora, you're right, it's because he's marrying the lovely Caroline. B)

lora4dan - July 29, 2006 03:44 PM (GMT)
yeah guy in tights

SecretanFan - July 30, 2006 10:22 AM (GMT)
Green Wing: The Musical! That would be awesome! :D Guy in tights might not be so good because I think I might DIE. :thud

xjessx - July 30, 2006 04:04 PM (GMT)
mmm tight clothes on guy although he would be the one who would refuse lol what i would to look up his kilt....and guy has a great voice

Little_Simba - July 31, 2006 09:59 AM (GMT)
I wonder if he went properly Scottish and wore no underwear under the kilt. :roflmao

SecretanFan - July 31, 2006 10:12 AM (GMT)
We can hope, LS, we can hope. ;)

newestgreenwingfan01 - August 11, 2006 09:56 AM (GMT)
this theory makes a lot of sense but i think the green wing writers are such cruel masterminds that they probably wont make anything predictable!!! but i agree with you about guy and sue - sue did "crack him first" as she called it and guy does seem (if not infatuated) then mildly interested in her..... i could be wrong but the scenes between them (the fact they can yell at each other and still get along well) shows a friendship between them and unlike Mac, Guy doesnt seem scared of Sues insanity..... okay what ive just written probably is a load of babble........

poo on a plate - August 11, 2006 11:06 AM (GMT)
I know what you mean, her insanity doesn't really seem to bother Guy at all. I would want them to get together if Guy doesn't get with Caroline.

Little_Simba - August 16, 2006 08:03 PM (GMT)
Sue and Guy have such amazingly interesting chemistry and the scenes between them are brill. They'd be very entertaining as a couple, I think... a bit like Alan and Joanna are.

XTinker_Bellx - August 17, 2006 11:52 AM (GMT)
oh my god...............mental

I hope your theorys right POAP!!!! It fits so well!

poo on a plate - August 17, 2006 11:54 AM (GMT)
Thank you! I can't even remember what I said now. Oh dear. But Guy and Sue would make a great comedy couple.
