I was jus wondering if u guys had any preferance for series one or series two!! And im talking in general, in terms of humour and the things we all love about green wing, rather than just about shipping!

I dont really know why, but i prefer season one! i dont know if maybe its cos i saw them all in order and didnt know wot was gonna happen, whereas season 2, i saw muddled up and by the time i watched them in order i knew how certain things were gonna turn out,like macenzie and holly.

I find the original is usually my favourite, but Series 2 was a great series as well :) Admittedly it was definitely more plot-based, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Both are fab, but if I *have* to choose between them, my favourite is Series 1 :)

Gods that was tough. For me It's the first series. I love them both, but generally I always prefer what I see first. Series 2 is equally brilliant though

Series one was definitely funnier. Series two concentrated on the plot more than anything else, and so I think they lost some of the humour through that. <_<

I dunno, i think there was humour to be had even in the more plot based parts of series two, especially with the Guy/ Caro aspects of it.

This is difficult, but have gone with Series One, but only because Series 2 is as snoopybing has already said, a lot more plot driven.

However, I may change my mind once Episode 9 airs ;)

I've gone with series 1, because although as a G/C shipper I loved the second series, think the first was generally funnier. Series 2 had some fantastic moments though.

series one was more funny and silliness.

it was funny, but series one was cool too.

As much as I loved series 2, it wasn't QUITE (nearly but not QUITE) as funny as series 1 and the comedy is everything for me, really.

The difference in level of plot was very notceable but I don't think that necessarily was why it wasn't quite as funny, although some of the plots were quite serious so maybe.

Ah, it was a hard choice but the first 9 eps had to get my vote.

Basically, my brother and I both love Green Wing,and he likes Series two better, but I like series one better, I don't know why, it could be because of all the not really interupted CarMacyness...but I do agree that Series Two is funnier...i just dont know which one is overall better though, so i was thinking if anyone else had this dilema and thought I'd make a poll...so here we are choose away!!!!

Oh it could also be because nasty Guy is sexier as well, but my brother doesn't really agree!!!

I say Series 1, Im not really sure why, I guess I just enjoyed it more! But that might be cos I saw it all at once on the DVD, whereas I saw a couple of series 2 episodes out of sequence and then watched the rest on a pirate DVD that I could only watch on my computer!

I think series 1 is funnier... the other characters- like Sue and Statham are funnier and it is more sketchy rather than storyline driven and I liked that!

It is a tough choice though, cos series 2 is still amazing and has some absolutely classic moments!

I would probably say series 1 becasue i've seen it more times. Also because of the Carmacness that isn't ruined...
Same here with series 2, I only have it on the pc.
I did like part of series 2, but I just think that series 1 was better over all.

series one, no contest!
it was something that was never really done before and quite origanal.
plus they pushed the boundrys of comady!
and the caracters were new and fresh.
basically if i was given this script and offerd a part, i'd do it without a second of regret!

Although series 2 has moments that are funnier than any in series 1, series 1 is just a stronger series. Sue is a lot funnier in series 1, and there were too many 'serious' bits in series 2.

Yeah. The seriousness didn't make it a comedy :(

Actually, i think they both had strengths and weaknesses, and osme of series two was HILARIOUS, but i've still got to go for series one.

I think series one because yeah series two does have too much of a story line. you can see in series one as it becomes based more and more on the whole guy car mac thing and I miss when sue was a bigger character. instead of just being a stalker, she used to have her own life. I still love series two, it just took about 5 episodes to get piss yourself funny. :D

I reckon series 1 is definitely the better of the two, although series 2 was v. v. v. v. v. good as well. I feel the first series was funnier, though. The seriousness of series 2 was a bit uncalled for and I was a little disappointed with some of the situations (e.g. I really wish Alan and Joanna had been together (although the fake sex Alan was trying to get her to believe he was having was hilarious, I admit) and I'm not keen on the dwarf thing).

However, all that having been said, you can't beat the wonder of Guy at the train station :wub: or Alan in the Chinese :roflmao
