This is really random, and i dont even know if im posting it in the right place or if its been said somewhere else but iv been wanting to say it.

I think Mac's clothes are significantly better in the first series than they r in the second. he seems to go from wearing quite nice shirts to quite daft t-shirts in silly colours. It makes me sad..... hes too hot to wear horrible clothes :(

And on a similar point- Guys clothes get better in the second series.

And all of the characters only seem to have about 2 outfits per series.

i know what you mean. maybe the coma confused Mac's mind. he kept wearing clothes that SO do not go with a red head - orange, red, pink...

maybe it was supposed to represent theryre change?

or maybe we're reading too much into it and SM just comlained that he had disgusting clothes.

as for the fatc that tey only have a couple of outfits - and also that they change clotehs a lot suring the day (although that happens a lot more in teh first series) - it's because tehy film it as it comes, like everything in one hospital, then teh otehr, then the bar, then the house, etc.

also, some scenes are jsut radnomly flimed and can be put anywhere.


out of interset - does anybody know the name of teh hospital that isbn't northwick park? cos i wanna do work expericen ina hospital, and where better to do it? with a camera... unfortunalty, northwick park is north london, and i'm so far south london i actually live in surrey as well.

I guess clothes are jus quite important to me (i have 2 wardrobes and 2 chests of draws in my tiny room) and when i watched the 2nd series the other day, the pink, orange, red t-shirts really bothered me!! Maybe it was just because Mac was confused after the coma! hmm.

I live in Surrey and I think the other hospital is a North Surey hospital cos i remember thinking 'ooh thats quite near me' but iv forgotton exactly where it is or what it is called :blush

Thats a good point. I never would have thought Mac would wear a von dutch Tee. To be honest I thought Guy's clothes were the same in the second series

I have to say his clothes are better in series 1, but I do like his series 2 clothes.

But then I'm normally too busy thinking about how much I'd like to be those clothes...................

I hadn't really noticed any difference is the standard of clothes between the series but maybe my view on the Mac/Guy clothing is drawn from series 2 because I definitely think Guy's clothes are always much nicer. I actually think one reason I'm more a Guy fan is that he wears the smarter clothes and that makes him look even hotter. Casual t-shirts don't do much for men (or women), even if they are good-looking. It is a bit unfair on JRT if they give him drab costumes.

I don't know, that blue Jacket Guy kept wearing was awful (though Stephen managed to pull it off) I just wanted to rip it off him... for more than one reason.

Yeah, he wore it all the time, it was hideous. I missed the shirts-rolled-up-to-the-elbow look in series 1.

i always thougt mac looked much better in those shirtss than in t shirts- it just suited him more. plus that horibl motorcycle jacket in serier 2 jst makes him look FAT- the one wiht the giant lapels

I didn't mind the jacket - it wasn't as nice as his shirts, I'll agree with you there POAP, but Stephen can wear anything and look damn sexy. I personally would like to see my fic come true and for the GW writers to put him in a tight black t-shirt. But that's just me... :blush

I'm the complete opposite. I actually find them distinctly unsexy. Believe it or not, I don't actually fancy Guy when he's in scrubs. Why couldn't he go into a branch of medicine wear he wore his own clothes all the time - preferably smart suits. WOOF, WOOF!!! :wub: :wub: :wub: :wub:

I agree Mac (we are talking about Mac on the nightwear thing, right?) would be likely to go for a t-shirt and shorts or boxers for sleeping in. It seems very him.

Ooh, I'm in the right thread to mention this - I've just watched a clip of the proper kiss and I noticed Mac's leather jacket's torn in it. LOL :(

That's true, although the sleeves are pushed up his lovely lovely arms, and it's still a T Shirt as opposed to a proper shirt with cuffs and buttons.

I think iv always kind of assumed that there was some sort of clothing uder the scrubs! lol

I wish he'd stayed with the shirts, or at least not worn t-shirts in pink, orange and red - his clothes suited him so much better in Series 1. Although I preferred Guy's clothes in Series 1 as well, so at least it isn't just him.
