Red Kite's The Imp wins mobile short award
Friday 01 Sep 2006 - 10:35

Red Kite Animation has won the award for best mobile short film at this year’s Talent Circle Super Shorts Film Festival. The winning entry, ‘The Imp’ is the first animation to feature the voices of Stephen Mangan and Julian Rhind-Tutt, stars of Channel 4’s Green Wing.

Animated black-&-white 3D short, ‘The Imp’ was voted as the best film suited for phones and handheld devices at the festival by a panel of judges and by people who voted by text to download each of the entries.

The Imp is a light-hearted take at trying to square a career, in this case creating hell on earth, with family and domestic life. The series takes place in and around the magnificent Lair where the evil Imp lives with his brother Bob, the real brains of the operation. Arch, deadpan and terribly house proud, Bob just wants to keep it all on track while The Imp tries, unsuccessfully, to bring about the apocalypse.
