apart from the fact that they just wouldnt... i have written so many reasons in other threads... cant b bovad to write them again....
it would also mean that there could never be a series 3 - and if they all say that they enjoyed it so much, they would leave the option open...

in an interview, JRT and SM said that they would love to do a series 3 if given the chance, so this must mean Mac can't be dead :S

but you know they made it a dream cos they killed off a charcter and noboduy liked it.

yeh i have a really bad feeling they'll kill him, because thats just how evil they really are. although, i'd be darn happy if they didn't kill him!! but i think we might have to just accept the 'inevitability of death' (as alan statham once said).......

What's made you all change your minds then? :) I still avidly believe they won't kill Mac, I'll admit that by the end of the eighth episode, things looked grim, but it's just not GW's style. If Mac dies in the next episode, the whole thing will be far too serious, and not like GW at all.
I have also been made more confident he won't die by the people on here, with their theories, a lot of which could happen :) so I'm not worried.

It may be wishful thinking but I'm saying no because I can't really see their letting someone as popular as Mac die. Maybe if Julian had said he didn't want to make another series they would but as he says he'd like to, they couldn't be that cruel to him as well as us, surely. (Yeah, I know a third series is unlikely but I'm not giving up hope. WE MUST BE STRONG AND OPTIMISTIC!!!)
There will be loads of things they could write in to make what looked like the end not the end.

It is, first and foremost, a comedy. Killing off Mac would not work in a comedy like GW. It just wouldn't. I can't believe its being debated to be honest. Everyone knows he's going to live.

Well you all know I don't think they're going to kill off Mac, but the way they made him fade out right at the end is just cruel, too too cruel. :sob I will hunt down the script writers and curse them to damnation :ph43r: :ph43r: :ph43r:
