Was thinking in bed last night (am still not sleeping very well after Friday night) that the big Mac and Guy scene is still to come, and you would assume that this means an argument, fight, etc. etc.

So what would be the cause of this big fight - did Guy doctor the test results :o

Mac's reason for a big fight:-

If you put yourself in Guy's shoes he's had every opportunity to win Caroline over - sharing a house with her, getting to kiss her, proposing to her and yes she said maybe. But then she throws it all back in his face by telling Mac that Guy means nothing to her.

So maybe doctoring the test results (obviously just temporarily) is Guy's last ditch attempt to get the girl. It would also explain the look on Guy's face at the station when he said about Mac being a really good guy (sorry can't remember his exact words). Maybe he's feeling slight remorse at what he's done :unsure:


And don't forget this is the man who lied about Martin's exam results so he could get a chance to lung at Caroline.

btw I have loved Guy in this Series and have liked seeing his "I think I'm in love" side in the last couple of episodes, so I hope all the Caro/Guy shippers don't come running at me with their wooden clogs :o

me n my sister were talking about the bit at the end at the station...
caroline says sumthin about how mac stood her up...and how much of a bastard he is...
and then Guy goes...he's a really gd guy...

I don't think Guy is fake in that he loves Caroline, but the way in which he might try and win her would certainly be less than honest I feel :)

thank you!!! that HAS to be it!!! guy can be cocky but hes loyal, kind, funnier than mac and devoted!!! i mean hed never think of committing last series so hes changed his whole personality and got caroline!!!

and in my honest opinion i think caroline only likes him cos he's always there to pick up the pieces when her and mac go wrong (ie the poker kiss, the whole fresian tatoo, AND the train station) GUY IS SECOND BEST TO MAC AND WE ALL KNOW IT!

i was thinking more along the lines of the test results were actually yoyo man's, and none of them knew his name, so that could have been it...

the big fight could be cos mac found out about guy and caroline, and then he found out that guy was mackensie's father. he would get really mad, as he thinks guy is trying to take everything away from him, so he would hit him in the face with a banana, instead of a clog... lol

im worried in case its one of those two that gets thrown off the roof at the wedding reception....

as for the test results, i dont think guy would go that far. he's like mac's best mate, and i think that he might try and take advantage of caroline when mac isnt there, but thats only cos he loves her, and he wouldnt actually make mac believe he was dying.... thats more up sue's street!!!

and dont be mean to guy - HE HAS CHANGED... hes reli nice and sweet now lol.... cos he LOVES caroline...

Oh OK I'll go with that idea - I do like Guy really ;)

Anyway can't believe the producers aren't going to miss the opportunity to have another Guy/Mac fight scene - and we all know who won the last time ;) and if Mac's capable of fighting he can't be feeling all that ill ;) and there's no point in Mac fighting if he knows he's going to die ;)

I'm just gonna say that I posted this under my old username on another topic but seeing as it applies more here I have to add it 'cause it ties in completely with what you're saying about Guy.

I've been watching the first series and Guy was a complete b****** so I'm thinking that love makes us do crazy things but he'll still be a git inside, moreso than ever because he's in love for the first time.
I think Guy might have set up the train and the hulahoop having spied on Caro and Mac earlier and he's not happy with Mac cause of earlier when mac threatened to ask Caro to marry him.
When he says 'Oh my God' the first time at the train-station I think it's an 'Oh my God my plan worked' and the second time he says it because Caro looks at him questioningly and he overrided it so that she wasn't suspicious any more.
I think he set up the test results so Mac wouldn't phone or look for Caro to leave for a holiday; the trainset and the hulahoop so Caro thought it was Mac and it got her away from the hospital and so she'd think Mac had abandoned and he could be her knight in shining armour.
Mac will confront Guy at the funeral and come out with proof that Holly's baby is Guys to take Caro back from Guy.
That was longwinded and probably completely wrong but that would set things up nicely for season 3 so I'm living in hope!

I'm so totally torn. Stephen Mangan is so beautiful but JRT is so hot.... Damn it. Evil GW writers!!!! :ph43r:

I'm sorry but the GW writers AND Guy are not that twisted. No one would fake someone's terminal illness in order to convince them they're going to die!!!!!!

I say that Mac told Guy to go to the station so that Caro wouldn't be left alone.... that's why he said "he's a really great guy". BUT, I think the whole Mackensie is Guy's thing will come out, splitting up Guy and Caro, and then Mac can have Caro...

I want her to be with Guy but only if she really loves him which she doesn't....

i just want everyone to be happy!

Yep, in the end that's what I want too, and I don't want any of the best characters to be dead, especially not Caroline, Guy or Mac.

I don't ideally want CarGuy to work out, because I think Guy, although he *thinks* he loves Caroline, it's just like a major crush, and he hasn't really experienced that kind of thing before, so he thinks it's love. Anyway, if she does turn him down in episode 9, I don't think he'll be too upset. But enough of that.

but he might do, because it is his first love (or "love" as you would call it) and that would be horribly heart-breaking to watch... :(

It's too unnerving, seeing him all soppy, it's not right, he has to go back to his light-hearted, saying the wrong thing type way. Well, I think he does, obviously I'm not the only one. I just don't think his behaviour in the last few episodes would not stand the test of time, it'd get tedious after a while, and we've already seen from the funeral clip that he's making his old jokes again.

Anyway :) the main thing's they're all happy, that's mainly what I'm interested in for episode 9.

same here - i think that if they are thinking of leaving GW there, they shouldnt do something really stupid like end it unhappily, cos thats just unfair and cruel!!!
