when caroline was waiting at the station, the song im tired of waiting (or whatever its called was playing) that song is by the kinks and its macs favourite band!! that makes it even more upsetting that he may or may not be dying!!! :cry

what got me was him going 'poof' at the end on his bike

do you no the best thing about the last ep was that it all went the way i wanted (expet that macs dieing of course, would have thought that when i finds out that i would cry but didnt)..... guy declared he's love for caroline although she didnt relise till half way through that he meant it, i think in away we kinda got the characters wrong.. guy's the one who knows what he want and he wont let go of that feeling and it turns out that mac's the one who's not ready for what caroline is willing to give her......the end was very movie like...dont know why but when guy walk through the fog it made me cry coz you know he's putting everything on the line just to get her to love him back... i think she said yes coz she realised guy was changing for her and that he would give her that happy ever after...but what will happen next, what if she breaks it off when she finds out mac dieing and does she find out??

can i just say that guy looked damn gorgeous when he walked out of the mist - his face was so lovable and hopeful!

and that it made me really sad to see mac riding off without his helmet on, cos he doesnt care anymore... :cry :(

what if he died cos he did something stupid, and then everyone found out that it was a lab mixup and he was in fact fine.... :(

Personally, the saddest moment in E8 was when Caroline said something along the lines of,
"I feel absolutely nothing for Guy!" to Mac, and Guy sort of shuffled away. :( That was just horrible.

i agree he looked well gutted.....only cried when guy came out of the fog and she said yes....think it was coz there was to much to take in all at ones.....very depressed now and cant seem to stop watching the last ep :sob

And although I am all for Mac/Caroline, I have to say that Steve Mangan's acting in this episode is brilliant - even if his character has changed out of all recognition.

I find that end scene with Caroline and Guy rather annoying, being a Carmac shipper, but also because the 'I was talking about the lesbian/marriage thing' went on far too long, just got tedious, especially since I was waiting on more news of Mac. I don't know, I don't want to theorise anymore. I'm never going to get it right anyway, and even if I did, I wouldn't get to find out until December. A whole load of things *could* happen.

It wasn't the most romantic of get togethers was it - still it gives us Mac/Caroline lovers hope for December ;)

in itself, if you just saw it written down on a script, it might not be the most romantic of proposals, but you have to say that Stephen's acting makes it gorgeous!!! Guy is really sweet!

ok, i'm finally admitting to this, after spending the last few days in denial......I do think that Guy and Caroline are a sweet couple, although I hate the idea of them being together because I am first and foremost a Carmac shipper and that will never change....and yes Guy did look rather tasty walking out of the mist, kinda like in the recent Pride & Prej when Mr Darcy walks out of the fog.....ahhhhh!! That kinda thing just does it for me everytime!

the saddest thing about that episode was a) guy and caroline getting together and mac just at the hospital letting go of that balloon (which to me felt like he finally letting go of caroline or something.....) and B) mac just disappearing!! I was sitting on the common room sofa, throwing bread at the tv (which i had to clean up the next morning) and shouting and nearly crying! haha it wasn't helped by being drunk and having my tutor sat next to me! I then spent the 10 minutes after that episode wandering around my boarding house bumping into walls!! it was very depressing!! haha....

but yeh, mac disappearing, actually the whole of mac's your going to die bit and onwards....shoving lollies into his mouth, letting go of the balloon, driving away and taking one last look at the hospital wtihout his helmet on and then disappearing!! and it really wasn't good that guy and caro were just happily laughing away and running for the train that MAC AND CARO should have been on!
