i think joanne kills harriet (for stealing lyndon) or caroline does shoot holly (as she pretended to do in series two episode 4) so theres a funeral. caroline and guy get married (freaky thought i know!) or holly and mac get married (even more horrible!) or sue and mac get married (now thats just funny) or mac and caroline get married (bringing a smile to the mac/caroline devotees faces)

any other ideas?

For some reason I can't see them killing off Holly, and I can't *really* see them killing off one of the main cast either, hmm, I don't know. Just have to wait and see. Is it this week's episode it's supposed to kick off? I can't quite remember.

i cant wait to see who dies... i know thats mean but... then it might be a relief that it isnt certain people...

i think mac might marry holly to try and do the responsible thing and be a "proper" father... and then the series ends, and we wont know til the xmas special whether caroline says "i object" and goes with mac...

or guy could marry sue... that would be hilarious!

Ooh, maybe Guy marries Caroline, but gets her drunk first because that's the only time she's ever kissed him and stuff, though she's found him attractive at other times. Anyway, Sue asked Guy to marry her so he does, and right in the middle of the service Mac comes bursting through the doors, a little like The Graduate, runs down the isle, holding a huge wooden clog, a massive one and knocks Guy unconcious, so that Mac and Caroline can continue the ceremony instead.

That is all me being silly I hope you understand, I don't seriously think that'll happen, but it'd be quite funny :)

Hehe, can totally relate there. Anything that could distract me from my work can and does, for hours at a time, it's awful. But then I theorise about GW and it doesn't seem so bad. If only more people knew about it and they could the sympathise with me. My excuse might even be valid then :) ah well.

All I know is there's going to be a lot more shouting at the telly before things get resolved :o

I think the funeral *could* be Martin's dad, Donald Twat, or maybe he just dies outside of GW and we're told about it, being where Martin gets a sum of money from. I doubt there'll be any will-related stuff for Joanna's cousin as nobody knows he's died yet (apart from Joanna and Statham). Just a thought, the gang could be there for moral support, but I haven't seen the infamous picture (funeral scene) so this is all just me rambling.

Thats a good point - Martins hardly going to get any money from Joanna now is he, I mean she refuses to acknowledge he's her son!

I thought the whole mirror scene with Martin & Donald Twatt was great, so obviously father and son, it'd be sad if he died, as Martin would never have gotten to know him, but Donald could be a multi-millionaire.... who knows?

i think the sum of money is likely to be for a will, unless he does something for medical research or something.

i have another theory about the last episode's summary - the one where it says guy, mac and martin make caroline an offer. What if, now martin doesnt have a girlfriend anymore, he focuses his attention on caroline again? in that case, all three of the bloke will make caroline an offer to be with her (guy, as we can probably guess reeeeally likes caroline, which btw is damn sweet, and mac might realise he likes her and wants to be with her as well as being a father). Caroline then thinks it is too complicated, and so turns them all down. But, then something happens to change her mind, and that is the "or does she?" bit, which we will have to wait until xmas to see the resolution of....(because really, caroline is going to get a guy at the end....)

Yeah, you can see Martin still likes Caroline, he asked her to go out with him to dinner didnt he but she'd made a date with Jake instead.

I think its going to be bigger than just "going out together" though, I'm really thinking its marriage - after all, has already been pointed out that when Sue got "married" to Mac in Episode 1, she threw the bouquet and Caroline caught it.... ;)

Correct me if i have missed the point etc.
The picture for series 2 has all of the main characters dressed in
ballet kit, so maybe the ball, may be fancy dress , but the trailers
for the 2nd series have people running through the lines and dressing
tables and stuff, so maybe the extra-curricular activity is a play,
or show!

Hi i'm new and i've never done anything like this before so i'm quite nervous :blush but i've got to say about the whole wedding funeral and death thing, didnt sue white marry mac when he was in a coma? or does that not count cos it wasnt legal i was just curious to know cos i hope it isnt i'd luv to see tbh guy nd caroline get together cos i think she puts him in his place when he goes too far. i'm just blabbering on here so i'm just gonna leave it at that ;)

Jake doesn't appear on the cast list for this weeks episode, which either means his storyline is finished, or he is the dead person :unsure:

I don't think the wedding is Mac and Holly as Mac learns more family news in the next episode which gives hope to him and Caroline (there's a thread somewhere about this ;) ) So I agree with Nikki06 that the wedding referred to is the Sue White one.

As for them all running round in tutu's I think that's to do with publicity shots/trailers. I can't see a reason for them all to dress up like that otherwise :unsure:

this could mean that caroline was testing out mac and his opinion of guy, seeing what he would think if caroline DID go off with guy... which means she is either considering it, or has! sweet!! yay!

I had a thought. In fact I've had several in the way things tie in or follow on from previous episodes.

First One

We had Caroline questioning whether being a doctor really made a difference, etc. etc.

Maybe in Episode 9 she does a "House" and investigates Mac's test results, spends hours pouring over the internet and big fat medical journals, before finally discovering some obscure illness that can actually be treated by taking one aspirin a week for the rest of his life.


Second One

Caroline told Mac that he should have a go at the whole father thing otherwise he might regret not trying the whole father thing.

Guy emerges from the steam on the platform and Caroline finally thinks sod it, maybe I should have a go at the whole loving Guy thing, as otherwise I might regret not trying the whole loving Guy thing.

Third One

Mac finally has another chance at a Consultancy post

Looks like he might miss out yet again because of the illness, but surely if Episode 9 is to tie up all the loose ends, once Caroline has cured him he can also get the promotion.

I really do believe that Mac can -and will- be cured....

My Ep9 would have him finding a cure and then riding off on his bike to stop Caroline & Guys wedding and when the vicar says... "Does anyone object" he screams "Marry me instead Caroline"

A long running theme has been the whole - Should Mac & Caroline be together? Because fate seems to stop them all the time, but I think that fate will ultimately bring them together....

I think finding a cure is a bit far-fetched, especially since the doctor who told him already said they'd investigated the possibilities. What I think is that the results aren't his, it's either a mix-up or they've been made-up, but it would've had to been done a while ago for the doctors to properly investigate the results.

I dont think anyone in GW is cruel enough to do that to Mac though....

Maybe Holly perhaps.... lol but not Sue or Guy or anyone....

At the end of the day, Mac is a good bloke, like Guy said, he always has been a good bloke, always sticking up for people and helping people out - I suppose Sue has a motive, but only this episode with the restraining order and I doubt she'd have the authority to go through patient files....

Holly might've though.... <_<

I just don't know. Right now, all theories have some 'but' to them, nothing really sounds right, but then in a way that is good, we wouldn't want to go guessing the whole layout of episode 9, there'd be no point in watching it.

Lets face it though, people have been guessing every single episode to date and its always been different, giving the writers some credit after what they did last night, they are great at writing things that no one could possibly believe could happen...

We can guess all we want, I bet no one will figure it out anyway! :lol:
