'Kev and Bev' Kev needs new Bev

Casting has begun to find a new Bev for the familiar "Kev and Bev" TV adverts.

The first Bev, actress Olivia Coleman, is giving up her part in the AA car loan commercial to seek new roles.

The part of Kev will continue to be played by Mark Burdis, best known previously for playing Stewpot Stewart in TV's Grange Hill.

The advert, in which an "ordinary" Kev and Bev come up against a more-affluent version of themselves, consists mainly of the characters saying "Bev" and "Kev" continuously.

But David Prideaux, creative director of the next AA Loans commercial, said the role of Bev required "great comic timing and the ability to convey a complex range of emotions in a matter of seconds, purely through body language and facial expression".

It can't be that hard can it? it's just repeatedly saying kev and bev over and over again!

The new one's rubbish anyway, it's not a comic role anyway. Olivia Coleman was way better, it's just a bit strange that they ke[t her named Bev, did Kev kill the first Bew for the insurance? No mortgage? What!?
