Title: Spoiler?
xpingux - May 16, 2006 07:57 PM (GMT)
'Award winning Green Wing will return with some off the wall wedding shenanigans filmed at Ashbridge Estate. Their first request was for a roof big enough to host a wedding reception and low enough to throw a guest off!'
Also with an interview from the independant it said;
"And we've only got one banana left for Mac's big scene with Guy. Make sure you take small bites," he tells Julian Rhind-Tutt. Guy may think he's a ladies man, but he's a total sexual naïf. We watch them film one toe-curling kitchen scene that culminates in Mangan ad-libbing: "Where is my blancmange in the shape of a tit?" He turns to Pile: "Sorry, was that too much?"
Mangan and Rhind-Tutt are still love rivals. "My job is to make him look adorable to women," Mangan groans. "Steve does what he wants, and we do what we can," Rhind-Tutt says dryly. Pile reveals that when they were casting the show, Rhind-Tutt was the only actor able to stand up to Mangan's aggressive, free-form style.
Later, during a kissing scene between Greig and Rhind-Tutt, he hoots: "Look, it's the battle of the noses." Rhind-Tutt wipes his mouth elegantly. "Sorry, that was a bit banana-y," he apologises to Greig. "Concentrate please, everyone," Pile urges. "Remember, we're laughing, crying and getting sexually aroused, all in the same scene. Stephen, I want you to be harder rather than funnier."
Channel 4 is tight-lipped about the plot twists in series two. On set, I spot a blackboard with a list of scenes already in the can: "Dwarf's Wife", "Threesome" and the rather worrying "Coffee Enema". But there's a visible air of tension today, because there's a death on the cards. I can't say who, but it's going to be big.

OK the above is the only new bit of news to me. Are they referring to Episode 9 when it says Green Wing will return, so it could be Mac and Caroline's wedding and the person being thrown off the roof can be Sue B)
And I still want to know where the spoiler originated about the funeral - people say there were pictures of the filming - but where
NB: YOU CAN FIND THE FULL INDEPENDENT ARTICLE UNDER THE MEDIA SECTION HERE ;)

On LJ and on Bristish Sitcom guide it said there was going to be a funeral;
| QUOTE |
On BBC1, they had a little section on Green Wing, interviewing some of the cast and talking to the creators. We got to see a sneak peak of Series 2 being filmed, and the aftermath of the ambulance/cliff incident last series, along with who - for certain - has survived.
We see Guy, Martin, and Caroline (as well as a lot of the other staff) at a funeral. Guy is sitting next to Caroline and has a mobile phone to his ear during the service. He tells her that it's his (step) sister's funeral, and since he couldn't be at both, he wanted to be there in spirit. And that this one is more important. After Guy tries to move in on Caroline for a kiss, he reveals he has a 'boner the size of the coffin.'
We don't see much after that, just the coffin being taken out of the church.

Thanks for that xpingux.
Only Guy could get a boner during a funeral :o
xpingux - May 16, 2006 08:23 PM (GMT)
Ahaha yes.
Im worried about Friday now
Bry - May 16, 2006 09:12 PM (GMT)
i took the "trust us its going to be big" that it was a pun on the death being a dwarf ;)
m+cshipper - May 16, 2006 09:56 PM (GMT)
am SLIGHTY worried about everyone but mac being at the funeral!!! they can't do that though, because it was mac who was in the coma at the beginning!!! oh god maybe it was all a dream, and mac never wakes up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh my life has just been ruined!!
azuresoul - May 16, 2006 09:57 PM (GMT)
maybe they are just trying to play with our minds by not showing us mac there, so we all dont know whether he is dead or not.... or they might be double confuzzling us.... *confused*
and the fact that guy is sitting next to caroline shows that she hasn't completely disowned him, which means that they might be together...
and it might be mac's funeral, cos guy said it was more important...
oh dear.
lora4dan - May 17, 2006 12:09 AM (GMT)
please join me in a silent prayer to the SITCOM GOD that they dont kill mac.
it would really ruin my weekend :cry
Haylz - May 17, 2006 12:19 AM (GMT)
But then again to Guy anyone else is 'important' - he's always cavalier.
It might be Alan Statham? He was having panic attacks but it could be more serious?
I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope that it's not Mac! :eep

Yep. I think that too kinda. But gaaaah. Hope it will all be fine!
Bry - May 17, 2006 07:41 AM (GMT)
they've left it a bit late to have another person dying and have the funeral in 1 last episode....stay confident guys!
m+cshipper - May 17, 2006 07:55 AM (GMT)
maybe its joanna, the camping trip with statham goes wrong and she ends up dying or something. i mean, then its important to guy because its his mum, but as he's on the mobile then it shows that its not HUGELY important, whereas i reckon if it was mac's funeral then he wouldn't be on the mobile at all.
if they kill mac i will personally hunt down the writers and the cast and make them make that episode again with mac staying alive!!
Bry - May 17, 2006 07:56 AM (GMT)
they CAN'T kill mac - it would leave thousands of people devastated!!
IMO - May 17, 2006 08:21 AM (GMT)
May be the funeral scenes ended up on the cutting room floor :high
titty_thomas - May 17, 2006 12:52 PM (GMT)
Yeah, even Guy isn't heartless enough to be unemotional and on a mobile at Mac's funeral - he does actually like him, despite all their bickering! No..it's got to be one of the lesser characters. My money's on Angela...or maybe Statham, but that would rather ruin the Christmas special, as Alan is the essence of the madness that is Green Wing!
m+cshipper - May 17, 2006 03:56 PM (GMT)
maybe its boyce? or i'm still hoping for joanna to die! i think her character only has a few funny moments, it wouldn't be much of a loss to the show! but .......i'll think they'll probably be quite evil with this one. the thing that is scaring me most is that they've not mentioned mac as being present at the funeral!

British Sitcom GuideIf you scroll down to series 2 it says this,
OK, firstly, who remembers all the discussion around who's funeral it was on the BBC Imagine documentary clip shown a while ago? Well, we at the British Sitcom Guide are now almost 100% certain it is Angela's funeral! It seems that her trip from the hospital to the world of TV doesn't go quite as smoothly as she would have liked!
We have heard that there will be a wedding later in the series which should be an exciting talking point. Who it is taking part though we'll have to wait and see! We guess the odds on favourites must be for Mac and Caroline to get hitched now their romance appears to be starting up again but the question is, is a wedding between the two doctors too predictable in the crazy world of Green Wing?
Keeping watching - there will be a murder some time in the next few weeks too! One of the staff kills somebody. We don't know any more than that. Is Angela the victim or is it someone else?
I have been thinking it might be Angela becasue she is on the cast list fro Episode 8 and there is a wedding becasue on the same list there is a bridesmaid, but I don't know becasue it says it's going to be
big.
[P.s: Im so sorry if all this is not true and that people e.g Mac don't die. I don't want people to hate me! :cry Lol]
alice - May 17, 2006 06:12 PM (GMT)
i had i feeling it was angela ... i might have heard it somewhere ... but o well i didnt like her that much anyway .. rather it be her then someone like Mac obviously
xpingux - May 17, 2006 07:20 PM (GMT)

ElleDoll - May 17, 2006 08:07 PM (GMT)
ok I was lookin forward to this ep now i'm scared to watch it incase mac dies, even tho I doubt he will. but oh well I aint gonna try and guess fit happens cuz I am usually wrong so i'll just sit and wait! or try to anyway!
xpingux - May 18, 2006 06:37 AM (GMT)
If someone did fall off the roof, they prob wouldnt die they would just get ingured I think unless it was a high fall.
Gaahh 1 more day!
*debbie* - May 18, 2006 06:12 PM (GMT)
i thought it might be her!
thank god, macs ok!
friendlymacandgreenwingfan:) - May 18, 2006 06:55 PM (GMT)
It just CANNOT be mac!!!!!!!!!! But it can't be sue, cos that's like half the plot, it can't be statham or joanna cos they're another main part, it might be one of the office girls?!
maybe...
Mighty Aphrodite - May 18, 2006 07:02 PM (GMT)
We've already had a death though..... Joannas cousin....
Maybe its his funeral.... kind of, even though he was torched and no-one knows he's dead, but it could be....

Maybe it's Karen's funeral? Maybe Karen was Guy and Martin's step-sister :o

Thank you, thank you, thank you................ for making me laugh for the first time since being thrown into the depths of despair after Episode 8.
That's a brilliant idea, and then we get the whole Martin slept with his half sister

I've seen the funeral clip, its on youtube -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7QlR72q7-Yit shows Guy, Caro, Martin, Boyce and Sue. The worrying thing is
Sue has a big black headscarf and an umbrella, this could mean
that it was Mac's funeral as she wouldn't be that bothered about Angela or
Karen would she? Then again she goes over the top with anything...
