It's the final episode of Green Wing and, though the production team was still working frantically in the editing suite as we went to press so preview tapes were not available, we're assured that there will be fireworks.

So what can we expect from this sublimely daft, stupidly surreal series? Green Wing insiders are notoriously tight-lipped, but we did manage to wheedle out a few tantalising bits and pieces of information. Joanna and the idiotic Statham (the brilliant twosome Pippa Haywood and Mark Heap) are haunted by a dead dwarf, so they run amok and go camping (we're not kidding), while Mac and Caroline (Julian Rhind-Tutt and Tamsin Grieg) finally get together, but some bad news threatens to change everything. Whose life will be bananced on a cliff edge this time?

No decision has yet been taken on a third series, but let's hope there is one. This is too priceless a comedy treasure to let go. Alison Graham.

It also says:- Joanna and Statham take drastic action about their increasing paranoia. Guy, Mac and Martin make Caroline an offer she can't refuse.

its going to good, thats for certain. i think they will leave some sort of cliff hanger at the end...a mac and caro one do u think? tho apparently the very last scene is between guy and caroline at marylebone train station. i think i'm confused.....

come on, if they can do ten episodes of friends, and it not go down the drain, then they can do a third of green wing!!

Friends did get a bit irritating to me though...I was never a huge fan. I'm more into my surreal hospital dramadies :P

That reminds me, must see Garth Merenghi's Darkplace at some point...

What a twist if they bloody kill off Mac or Caro! It has to be Mac though. I just can't see them killing off Caroline, when she's the main female character.

Also, the Guy/Caroline scene at the station and funeral....though Guy was hard at the funeral and Caroline laughed...So probably not Mac...

lol or they ALL decide to have an "open relationship" with each other - martin has suggested it to karen before, so why dont they all do that!? caroline, mac and guy! then theyre all happy! lol joking.

yeah - it shouldnt be a problem! guy has slept with mac and caroline - he openly admits that - and caroline has liked both of them, and mac loves caroline and is good mates with guy, and thought that guy would miss him - that was a blatant want for emotion, so that mac could sweep him into his arms and kiss him...

Do we know there's definately a funeral. I can remember reading somewhere about a funeral, wedding and death, but can't for the life of me remember where I saw it, or where the original source came from.

you;re right the funeral clip has happened. i think episode 9 might be the wedding we have heard about and that guy will come back for that...and apparently someone gets thrown off the rooftop at the wedding!

By "apparently", do you mean that you've read somewhere that it's gonna happen, or are you just saying what you think will happen?

If someone does fall off a roof, it explains why there's a funeral in it - but who's!!?
It definately can't be Guy's - he's in the funeral clip. I just hope that it's not Mac's, though Caroline would have looked more upset in the clip had it been his funeral she was at...

like filmed a funeral, train station thing and wedding to keep us off the truth!

i have another theory - what if they filmed the funeral, but they showed us a different clip, so that we think that guy and caroline are fine, so that it will be a shock if either of them dies!!??

if not, they are trying to build up the tension, because we don't know if mac dies or not

oooh what happens if mac and guy have a fight over caroline, and one of them gets thrown off the roof!?

thats two strikes against him as far as sleeping with significant girlfriends of mac's.
