I just had a thought....

What if Mac is still in a coma and this is all some weird dream - about Holly, Mackenzie, Guy falling in love with Caroline....

What if, in Episode 8, he just wakes up, sees Caroline there and they go off happily ever after???

yes, that occurred to me too - it could well be..... it would be quite a green-wingy thing to do. it seems to be quite an in depth coma business though, more than just the cast in spacemen costumes i mean! it could be a bit strange like when they did it in dallas (r was it dynasty - i am always muddling the two up!!)

that would be amazing!! I could really see that happening. He wakes up, he hasn't got amnesia or anything, he remembers all this stuff with caroline from the first season, and then they just go motoring off on his motorbike together! I would love that, but I'm too into this new storyline now, and the tension is just bloody brilliant!!

but, there's been too many other sub plots this series, like Harriet and Lyndon, why would Mac dream those?!?

Hmm, it could be, but it's be a bit weak I think (not your theory, the plot, if that were it). I'd hate to think nothing had actually happened in that time, and it'd be a bit too Dallas-y for my taste.

Maybe, I can't see a particularly perfect way for them to get out of the picture, only unless Mackenzie isn't Mac's, then Holly will be easy to get rid of, but I don't know whether he is or not, I can't decide where the writers are going with that.

I suppose that is a good thing though :) it wouldn't be any fun if you could predict the whole show.

thats what i dont like - that its entirely upredictable....i know thats what makes it sooo amazing, but i just want to live safely in the knowledge that caro and mac are just a damn couple!!!!
