I read somewhere else that apparently she was lined up to be in the Special, but then she was either ill, or pregnant, or something :unsure:

I read somewhere that Doon was in the original pilot they made but they removed her scenes for the aired pilot as she was heavily pregnant and couldnt commit to series 1

So not vicious rumours, her scenes were just never aired.

She can't have had a big part - they waited for the other people with other commitments - eg Tamsin, Julian

They mentioned this at the bfi, and the looked at tamsin, i cant remember wat they said exactly but they said she was in the oridginal piolet maybe ros or someone will remember

yeah doon was a main character (I think) but there was a lot of dodgy looks from vp and the rest of the cast when this question was asked but i think that she took time out of everything because of her baby - it wasn't beacsue she didn't want to do GW but yeah...

so what Tamsin wasnt first choice!!

i don't know she may have been another character - maybe sarah alexander wasn't first choice i don't actually know :blink:

yeah but if doon was in it as a whole other character then i would have been happy but as she was probally caroline then i'm glad she wasn't in the final cut

But Tamsin is in a scene from the pilot where Julian has long hair, so Tamsin must have been in it as Caroline from the start.
I remember hearing this rumour about one of the cast being replaced ages ago and rewatching the pilot trying to see which bits had been reshot etc, and I think it's most likely that Sarah Alexander wasn't in the pilot, as all of the scenes she is in are reshot ones (I think - judging by hair and outfits etc).

yeah i think that would make a bit more sense but then that still means that they would have only had one persom from smack the poney in it still and not both of them but yeah :blink: i reckon they may have replaced her with sarah but personally i think sarah could proberally play angela better anyway..

But Darren Boyd was in Samck the Pony, so doesn't that make 2?

One of the scenes they had to reshot from the pilot was the Angela and Kim grapefruit eating scene, so it looks like Sarah Alexandra wasn't in the pilot.

Whether she replaced Doon though :unsure:

No I could see her playing that part. Having seen her in Smack the Pony, she's pretty versatile and used to showing off her cleavage :lol:
