Title: Those Ultimate Questions!
Description: Mildly spoilerish... I think
pathologybunny - May 3, 2006 06:29 PM (GMT)
Did anyone else finishing watching episode five and (after the shaking had stopped) immediatly fall over? I made so many mistakes when typing my "OMFG!!!" blog that I couldn't believe it! I eventually made my way across my room (falling over in shock at the previous hour twice) and got to bed. The next morning I was no longer in a state of shock and bewilderment and so I went on an anylising streak... the characters, the plots, the spoilers... what are we fans to do?
It was such an "omg did the writers actually do that to us?" episode and it really leaves you wondering those all important questions:
1) Who is gonna die?
2) Who is gonna get married?
3) What will Caroline and Guy think the morning after?
4) Will Mac find out?
5) What will happen with Mac and Holly?
6) What will happen with Mac and Mackenzie?
7) Is Mackenzie actually Macs son?
8) Why didn't Angela tell Mac about his "son"?
9) Who is this Jake Leaf anyway?
10) And finally that ultimate question, who is it to be for Caroline... Guy or Mac?
There are probably many more questions and WE NEED ANSWERS!!!

MACMACMACMACMAC
Guy?
MACMACMACMACMAC
Its SOOOOOO hard
Im still a DIEHARD Mac/Caroline supporter but Guy....
HES SO CUTE TO CAROLINE
*collapses on floor*
Heheh after that episode me and my friend just burst out into a fit of hysterical blabbering, highpitched SQUEALING and general all rounded WTF JUST HAPPENED

Ooh, good questions! (And about the falling over thing - firstly, :roflmao, secondly, I didn't so much fall over as stay awake for ages just running through the episode in my head!)
I reckon Caroline won't be able to handle Mac being a dad so her and Guy will live happily ever after. No, wait, that's what I WANT to happen... :P
I find it's nicer to wonder than to actually think about every detail and plan how it will end up because then the ending won't disappoint you! :)
pathologybunny - May 3, 2006 07:16 PM (GMT)
I did actually watch the episode twice and that last scene 20 times before I finally went to bed!
:roflmao
kittyofdoom - May 3, 2006 07:25 PM (GMT)
It was a very much "What just happened? And there's no episode now for a WEEK?" kind of ending :) I think this one has caused the most discussion so far in the series, definitely, as there's a lot to think over. I just hope episode six can keep up with everything.
On a completely unrelated note, I've just seen my number of posts! Bejeebus, how did THAT happen?
Mac-aroon - May 3, 2006 07:36 PM (GMT)
Lol
I seriously WANT it to be Friday SOOOOO much
I'm DYING to find out what happens
Goddamn you GW writers for making us wait a whole week
Its painful i tell you
PAINFUL!!!!!!

pathologybunny - May 3, 2006 07:43 PM (GMT)
I agree with you on the discussion thing coz everyone is on about the "curse" of episode five. Although I must admit that those are my favourite episodes! It's because EVERYTHING happened in one episode - Caroline/Mac, Caroline/Guy, Lyndon/Giselle, then Mini-Mac, Holly and the general *aaaaaargh*ness of the episode.
kittyofdoom - May 3, 2006 07:46 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I don't see how it's a curse per se, I really like the party episode of series one (that was episode five, wasn't it?), because the characters are far too new to us to really worry about Caroline kissing everyone :) I never did. Their relationships were all over the place then anyway. It was cool.
And whilst I am unsure of where this next episode will go, at least a lot actually happened.
pathologybunny - May 3, 2006 07:54 PM (GMT)
I didn't actually call it a curse - some random fan off LiveJournal did. It IS a bit like a curse just a very funny and incredibly entertaining one!
Eep! I can't wait til Friday!!!
azuresoul - May 3, 2006 08:59 PM (GMT)
its just occurred to me - what happened to holly's "other" child? in series one, angela told mac that holly was pregnant by her husband. So what happened to that child?
kittyofdoom - May 3, 2006 09:12 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I was thinking that. It's probably something simple like the husband's got it, but he didn't want to keep Mac's kid with him. But still, they should have covered it. Or, maybe that's why there's that incredibly age-inappropriate pram in the background of the reveal of Makenzie scene, it's actually for Holly's other kid. I don't know, but I'm sure we'll find out at some point.
hash-dash - May 3, 2006 09:13 PM (GMT)
I've been wondering this myself. *ponders* Maybe she really is a baby killer, or perhaps her husband was also frais blonde and their child has extreme growth spurts
azuresoul - May 3, 2006 09:16 PM (GMT)
lol like in that movie - dunno weva uve seen it - its called "Jack" I think - its with robin williams, and it is where he ages four times too fast... maybe thats the case with mackenzie - or maybe holly slept with someone else when she was going out with mac, and didnt want him to find out! so she left for america, to go live with the guy she actually slept with, who is in fact mackenzie's father....

would holly leave one of her children and split them up?
kittyofdoom - May 3, 2006 09:22 PM (GMT)
No, Mackenzie works out you see, because they were together for six years, and four years have passed since then. I guess that Mac and Holly finished quite soon after she 'terminated' things and said she didn't want a family to get in the way of her career. So, Mackenzie is fourish.
And yeah, she might've left the baby with her husband/ex husband, but Mackenzie is a way to get Mac back, which is what she's really interested in. And... she's evil :ooherr
:)
azuresoul - May 3, 2006 09:25 PM (GMT)
lol precisely my point - she might have been evil, and slept with someone else, whilst she was going out with mac (someone who is also fraise blonde - she might have had a thing for that), in which case mackenzie would also figure...
kittyofdoom - May 3, 2006 09:26 PM (GMT)
I'm not saying it isn't possible, but is it more probable? :) I think you just don't want this to be Mac's son. Neither do I really.
azuresoul - May 3, 2006 09:37 PM (GMT)
how did you guess?!?
lol yeah im tryin 2 think of any excuse to get everyone in gw out of a very bad situation lol... and for it to all be holly's fault lol.
kittyofdoom - May 3, 2006 09:40 PM (GMT)
Hehe :) yes, I want to blame everything on Holly as well, I'm so curious about this death that's to come about. I don't want to go into the theories too deeply, or spoilers about it, I'm just curious. Is it this weeks episode? Anyone know?
azuresoul - May 3, 2006 09:41 PM (GMT)
the gw writers will be as annoying as possible about it... maybe they will show a shot of someone killing someone, but we wont know hu it is until ep 9... they are going to do something evil like that i bet.
hash-dash - May 3, 2006 10:07 PM (GMT)
In the extremely vague ep guides it's implied that the death will be this weeks ep. So only 2 days to go and we can (very hopefully) see Holly die!
kittyofdoom - May 3, 2006 10:09 PM (GMT)
Cool, thanks hash-dash :) that was complete laziness on my part, I could've looked it up myself, but ah well, hehe.
IMO - May 3, 2006 10:24 PM (GMT)
sorry to break the news, but Holly is still in the cast list for episode 7
I'm still fuming over the way Holly stood so close to Mac when she was telling Caroline who Mackenzie was, so as to look like the ideal family picture  Sorry just went off topic there.
Here's what I want/don't want to see:-
1. An answer as to why Holly has decided to reappear with child after over 4 years with no word to Mac.
2. I don't want to see the finished Mac in clay
3. Sue White having a nervous breakdown as she discovers she isn't pregnant at all, but suffering from early menopause
4. some Boyce and Kim moments
5. some Mac and Guy one on one moments - ohhh plus the big fight scene over Caroline
6. the bloke in the office to get some lines to say
7. Guy being made to walk to work
8. Guy trying to chat up Holly to make amends to Mac and get her off his back
9. Less scenes with Holly in would be good
10. I want to see the inside of Mac's apartment again :angel
11. Guy moving into his new abode
I could go on but I have just collapsed :knockout
ps: 12. more Mac and Statham scenes - I think these are brilliant
azuresoul - May 3, 2006 10:31 PM (GMT)
awww then what about poor mackenzie!? hes only four!
i know he is annoying in that hes alive (i know that sounds really really really mean, but im being really blunt), but poor him!
but yes, that would be GREAT lol. and also if mac never found out about guy and caroline....
but i sorta want guy and caroline to happen... mostly cos of guy's eyes... but then guy would be killed by mac's giant wooden clog, and then everyone would be sad....
hash-dash - May 3, 2006 10:33 PM (GMT)
yeah I know Holly won't die, I might have read somewhere on this forum who does die......................
Angela. Yeah so I'm glad Holly doesn't die because that would mean Mackenzie would have to live with Mac.... nooooooooooooooo!
One thing I would like to see this series.... the revelation of Mac's first name! B)
kittyofdoom - May 3, 2006 10:37 PM (GMT)
Ahh see I never said Guy would be killed, just knocked out. I didn't add Holly and Mackenzie into it as Holly's in far too many scenes already (and why would Guy or Caroline invite her, although I bet she'd invite herself, she's just the type), and Mackenzie would be somewhere else, hehe, it was a very quick, very silly five minute thing. I didn't think it all through, I admit it :)
azuresoul - May 3, 2006 10:45 PM (GMT)
lol i know mine was just a thought as well.
but it would be nice sort of if everything was just silly again and holly didnt have to mess things up!!
mackenzie could go back to holly's ex-husband, and then caroline and mac are free of any holly-ness.
in the ep summary, it mentions something about joanna's cousin, and that one of them ends up dead... is angela joanna's cousin then, or am i just reading it the wrong way? more people added to the weird family...
GirlCalledMalice - May 4, 2006 01:34 PM (GMT)
From what I have gathered from the channel 4 episode guides for 6, 7 and 8, I have come up with a little theory. *Ahem*
The episode guide for 6 says:'Guy is green with envy, Joanna’s cousin is green with makeup – one leads to bloodshed, the other to death.' Well, the Guy thing is obviously about Caroline's date, so I'm ignoring that, interesting as it is. It's either the cousin or Joanna who dies, and Joanna is in the next episode guides...
I've come to the conclusion that Joanna and Statham accidentally kill her cousin with a stuffed heron. Yes.
Ep Guide 7: 'Joanna and Statham struggle to conceal the incident with the stuffed heron.' In perfect Green Wing style, that could be bloody anything. But I like the idea of accidental murder via taxidermy.
Ep Guide 8: 'Paranoia reaches breaking point for Joanna and Statham, and they’re forced to take drastic action.' I have hence decided this is due to their paranoia over killing Joanna's cousin.
I now need to come up with a theory that implicates Joanna and Statham in a murder involving green make-up and a stuffed heron...
Though who cares anyway? All I'll be watching is Caroline and who she neds up with...
hash-dash - May 4, 2006 03:49 PM (GMT)
I do believe you could be right. And I also like the idea of the accidental murder. Though it seems a bit deep for Green Wing. Maybe Joanna's cousin is involved with the mafia who have leant her their prize heron, but she leaves it for Joanna to look after and she and Statham get up to a bit of hoohaa and accidently land on the heron and kill it. In an attempt to hide their crime, they stuff it (so that it will stand up) and give it back to Joanna's cousin. She falls for it but warns them of what the mafia dudes would do if anything happened to their heron, hence their paranoia.
Yes I know its far fetched but anything could happen, its the green wing! :raiseroof
GirlCalledMalice - May 4, 2006 04:00 PM (GMT)
Annoyingly, your theory is a lot better than mine. After the long seconds I spent formulating mine. I might cry.
I love the idea of them killing a heron, and lets face it, animals do seem to die in this show...the poor swan, the replica kitty *almost* gets it...
Though Guy would not do something so cruel. He is lovely.
azuresoul - May 4, 2006 05:43 PM (GMT)
oooh i like the theory... could mean a lot more laughs! but by the number of ep synopses that it appears in, you might guess that it means it is a serious event - as in they get into looooads of trouble...
guy is lovely, isnt he!!??
hash-dash - May 4, 2006 06:53 PM (GMT)
but... if the mafia are after them, then thats kinda serious right?! lol I'm clutching at straws but my theory wasn't serious anyway. lol oh well ;)
