Princess Janey - May 4, 2006 09:15 PM (GMT)
From what I've seen on the adverts, this looks like it will be quite good, although I will be constantly expecting her to do something Sue-like in it!

azuresoul - May 4, 2006 09:42 PM (GMT)
yay more sue-ness it looks like... it should be funny, cos sue makes me laugh, and judging by the article, it looks like they have sort of let her loose on this one... yay! unleash the sue!

Mighty Aphrodite - May 5, 2006 10:31 AM (GMT)
I've not seen any ads for this at all!

Must stick it in the Sky + Planner! :thumbsup

Mighty Aphrodite - May 5, 2006 12:01 PM (GMT)
Just so everyone knows its actually 9.30pm and not 9...

Wondered why nothing was showing for it at 9pm!

Exu - May 8, 2006 08:14 PM (GMT)
"I see dead people!" "That's because you're a policewoman working on a murder case..."

Ooh, that's dry =D.
Any more of that and this will be one to watch!

hash-dash - May 8, 2006 08:30 PM (GMT)
yay is about to start. Michelle Gomez = love

hash-dash - May 8, 2006 09:01 PM (GMT)
okay... did anybody else think "what????!!!"

CigarettesYamaha - May 8, 2006 09:01 PM (GMT)
it really wasnt funny...

Exu - May 8, 2006 09:13 PM (GMT)
"Dis-ap-point-ed..."

Michelle Gomez really is not suited to playing people who have to take orders. I mean, it had it's moments, but just... no.

My face fell: :jawdrop

kittyofdoom - May 8, 2006 09:21 PM (GMT)
I watched it for a bit but it wasn't very good I didn't think, couldn't have watched it the whole way through.

Noticed her partner though, Robbie's school teacher/Statham's voice coach :)

CigarettesYamaha - May 8, 2006 09:23 PM (GMT)
yeah, it was.

she really didnt suit playing the straight.
it was... i dont wanna say it it... but quite boring seeing her be
normal.

Mighty Aphrodite - May 8, 2006 09:27 PM (GMT)
Yeah, disappointed....

I noticed as well that it was directed by Tristam Shapeero... one of the directors of Green Wing....

CigarettesYamaha - May 8, 2006 09:29 PM (GMT)
its more to do with writing than directoring in those typa things tbh

one thing that really showed it up compared to greenwing
is the fact is so so scripted.
while greenwing is alot of improvising, esp with michelle neway.

CigarettesYamaha - May 8, 2006 09:35 PM (GMT)
sorry i just read that back and i sound like a right pretentious arse.
sorry, that wasnt what i trying to do... i wasnt trying to be mean.
im just a bit wordy is all

kittyofdoom - May 8, 2006 09:38 PM (GMT)
To be honest, it didn't really seem like the type of show that *could've* been as random as GW anyway. I think it's set itself up too strictly already. It was just so blah.

Oh, and CigarettesYamaha, I didn't think you sounded pretentious.

CigarettesYamaha - May 8, 2006 09:40 PM (GMT)
it really wasnt british humour was the only part that annoyed me.
it was all kinda pie in the face sorta stuff.
a bit lame.

Kitty: Thanx :D sorry, i was having a moment.

hash-dash - May 8, 2006 10:16 PM (GMT)
Generally a bad show. Probably won't watch it again. However, laugh out loud moments include the run at the beginning, when Michelle tried to kiss her boss and the tarot cards scene. Other than that meh......

Mighty Aphrodite - May 9, 2006 07:37 AM (GMT)
I do know the writings got a lot to do with it... I was just pointing out who the director was!!

Mac-aroon - May 9, 2006 03:27 PM (GMT)
Yeaaa i found it boring.....
I tihk its coz im so used to seeing Michelle as KERAZY Sue that seeing her as a slightly more....normal character kinda made it....boring?
Wont watch it again.....not my cuppa tea
Not random enough by far :):):)
xxxx

no! i know, i know, thats why i back tracked myself, and posted whart i did afterwards.
ur absolutely right, u would of thought that the directoring being from
GW as well it would of been better.

titty_thomas - May 9, 2006 07:48 PM (GMT)
Who saw Michelle Gomez's new programme "Feel the Force" last night? It's a wacky police comedy about two rubbish WPCs, played by Gomez, and Rosie "I want a f*cking baby" Cavaliero from 'Spoons'. I was actually quite impresed - certain bits were slightly jarring, but overall it made me chortle...opinions anyone?

Mighty Aphrodite - May 9, 2006 09:42 PM (GMT)
I dont think many of us liked it... theres a post about it in the Cast forum under Michelle Gomez....

pathologybunny - May 9, 2006 10:11 PM (GMT)
It cracked me up!!!!!! It wasn't brilliant (like Green Wing) but it still made me laugh!

kittyofdoom - May 9, 2006 11:21 PM (GMT)
I didn't like it, but then we're all different :) which keeps things interesting.

IMO - May 10, 2006 10:59 AM (GMT)
I'll merge this with the thread in Cast ;)

titty_thomas - May 10, 2006 06:49 PM (GMT)
I agree it didn't have the spontenaity of GW, but then which other programmes do? Only Black books has had me laughing as much as GW recently. So, as long as one doesn't make too many comparisons between FTF and our beloved GW, it was alright for a bit of light, Monday-night comedy. I'm definately gonna watch epi2, to see if it gets better.

azuresoul - May 10, 2006 09:08 PM (GMT)
yeah, give it another chance now we know what is going on now...

is it just me, but i felt like michellw was too restrained
i think thats the fact that she had to stick to the script more, but i felt like she was trying to be (or was made to be) more normal...

newestgreenwingfan01 - May 11, 2006 08:38 AM (GMT)
i couldnt watch the whole episode!!! i rele didnt think it was funny and i was disappointed but maybe itll get better and better and better and better and better!!! i hope so cos in two weeks green wing is over until christmas!!!

It definately got better - most of the best stuff happened further in, so you really missed out by giving up. Most comedy programmes are a bit lame week1, then really improve, such as the IT crowd, which started off badly, but had me roaring with laughter in its last episode!

azuresoul - May 11, 2006 06:11 PM (GMT)
mmm yeah thats why im going to watch it next week, cos hopefully it should be better by then... hopefully by the time they had filmed that, michelle had got her way, and was allowed a little more "artistic" freedom...

xjessx - May 20, 2006 07:23 PM (GMT)
missed 1st ep but is v v v funi
they choop a crocc's tail of when they shut the boot door and get high from sniffing a frog...lol

And hello again to Kathie Munki Bob. loves ya! :thumbsup
Long live sue!!! :notworthy

titty_thomas - May 23, 2006 04:17 PM (GMT)
I enjoyed the first 2 episodes, but thought last night's was TERRIBLE! Maybe it's because I've been overloading on GW this week, but I found Feel the Force seriously un-funny and just lame....I've given up watching it now - couldn't even be bothered to watch until the end of the episode :(

xjessx - June 9, 2006 09:43 PM (GMT)
noooo awww i love it,,...it helps me forget about the long wait for green wing
