ok, so, as we all know mac is one of these people that doesnt show weakness, he makes a joke out of every serious situation he's in. which is fine, and funny for the show.

however, obviously, being human he has a few moments of weakness, and the two major moments he has, he expresses them by swearing, but not just casual swearing the tone of his voice completely changes.

in the first season, in episode three, when guy is teasing him about holly being pregant, he simiply replies 'f*ck you' and walks away, no pun, no nothing.

and in season two, ep 5, when holly, mac and caroline are all in flat's flat and holly reveals that mac has a son to Caroline all mac can say is 'shit'

I think it's good there's a distinction, because otherwise you'd never be able to tell when he was messing about and actually very angry.

He also says:

"F***ing HUG!"

and

"If you do anything to sabotage this relationship, I swear I will hit you in the f***ing face with a big wooden clog"

Which I still wonder about, will it happen this week? :) It would be fun to see I think, hehe.

i actually really love it when mac swears when he's angry... i actually like him that much more, and find him funny...i'm not even sure why... i'm just an oddball...lol
