Again, synopsis stolen from IMDB

Rose Tyler, a young shop assistant in a London department store, lives a humdrum and profoundly average life - until the night the shop dummies where she works wake up and try to kill her. Her life is saved by a strange man who only calls himself The Doctor, and intrigued by him, she finds herself thrown headlong into a hectic battle to stop an alien presence from invading Earth and annihilating the human race. She comes to learn that her new friend is even stranger than she thought - in fact, the Doctor's an alien adventurer called a 'Time Lord', seemingly the last of his race, who travels through time and space in his TARDIS battling evil where he finds it. Love Doctor Who, the new series is must see TV :) I saw a few of the Christopher Eccleston ones, but I didn't like him in them as much, wasn't as good... not as attractive either, and David Tennant is a lot funnier as well.

Yes I prefer David Tennant to Eccleston.

But I do think Julian Rhind-Tutt would make a good Doctor when the next regeneration occurs ;)

I love Doctor Who, but I don't really like Billie Piper in it - it's like she's on speed or something :rolleyes:

Am looking forward to seeing some different planets in this series B)

I didn't like her at first, purely because of who she is in real life, but once I forgot about that, for the part she plays I think she does quite well, but I see what you mean IMO :)

I thought I heard a rumour she was also leaving at some point, either at the end of this series, or sometime during it (killing her off?)

I find the two new series have been a lot more light-hearted than the old ones. The old ones I found downright scary, but these new ones are a nice mix of suspense and comedy. Well, I thought so :)

And the 'lion sleeps tonight' scene was both terrifying and hilarious at the same time! woo! can't wait for more...

OK I take it back - Cyber men aren't cute at all. That episode was brilliant, I was on the edge of my seat when The Doctor and Mrs Moss (or whatever her name was) were making their way down the long corridor with all the 'inactive' Cyber Men.

I've always felt really sorry for Mickey, he's a good kid, and Rose had treated him like rubbish most of the time. Still, I suppose he was a bit of a third wheel, even he realised that, but still, awww :cry poor Mickey, at least he gets to see his Gran now.

yeah Mickey was a bit a spare part. And I do wish they'd stop landing the Tardis back at Rose's mums house all the time.

What's happened to the days when the Doctor had no control over the Tardis :angry:

loved this episode!!!! i loved how mickey saved the world - again and how finally the doctor showed him some respect!! mickey isnt an idiot, he isnt scared of everything anymore and hes sooo kind!!! doesnt anyone else like mickey????

He's OK but I didn't really like the idea of him travelling with the Doctor. Bring back Captain Jack and ditch Rose :P

i was really dissapointed with tonights ep the doctor,....where the hell was he, there was like two or three scene's with him in,.....he's hot, and yet there was hardly any doctor doing his fang

Yeah tonight's episode was very different. I think that actor (whatever his name is) is good, but I spent my whole time thinking JRT could have played that part just as well :)

Tonight's episode was pants on a stick.

Hated it.
