Title: What's that then?
Description: Eh?

If Chickens Were Purple... - April 17, 2006 11:54 PM (GMT)
What're you looking at? You weirdo.

Yes. Well, as my introductions tend to do, this'll be a short autobiographical account of recent events in my life. Not very long ago (a few weeks, actually) whilst reading my telly magazine, I found that a program called "Green Wing" was on in a few minutes. Well, I'd little to do in the next hour (That's why I was reading a telly magazine you see), and anything about unusually coloured wings was good enough for me. So I watched it, and thought it was terrific. So terrific, that I looked again at my telly magazine to see when it was on again — which was the very next night. Jolly good. So I waited there in front of my TV for twenty three hours, and wouldn't you know it — Green Wing was on again! I continued, like this, for two days, only to find I'd watched the last few episodes in that series. Well, you can imagine my despair. But as luck would have it, the new series started the next day. Wow, that was fast. So I carried on watching, except that the breaks were six days longer than before. Ah well.

For three weeks, I watched and then waited for the next episode. Until, just a few minutes ago (Just shows you how up-to-date this autobiographical account is) I thought "Hmm", which in some obscure fashion, inspired me to look for a forum devoted to this "Green Wing". My first stop was Wikipedia, so I looked up their entry on Green Wing, and went then to the "external links" section... And do you know what I found? Bugger all, is what I found. You guys should put your forum up there y'know. But a quick Google search got me here. So I signed up, verified my account, started this thread, wrote some gibberish that I can't imagine anyone will read... And the rest, as they say, is... Erm... Now.

Things about me you ask? (Yes, you do ask. You do.). Well, unlike what I believe to be the majority here, I'm male (Yep, I'm a great big freak). So I shan't be doing as much "Doesn't so and so look hot in those gloves" or "Did you see the way his forehead moved when he kissed her?" type chat as the rest of you might. Although I might do some if I'm in that sort of mood. And another thing I feel you should know about me: If you ever think I'm wrong about something, or have made a mistake, I asuredly have not. This 'mistake' is a very clever metaphor, of such wit and genius I couldn't begin to explain to you without your brain going "Eh?". And we wouldn't want that now.

Oh yes, and just a bit of friendly blackmail: If you don't like me, I'll call you all horrible names, like "poo-head". And if that hasn't emotionally scarred you beyond disrepair, I've got plenty more where it came from, and much worse than that. Not only will I call you such things, but I'll tell all my friends (Well, I say "all"... I'll tell them both, anyway) that you smell really bad. And they'll go "O rly?", and I'll say "Ya rly". So there. I'n't that evil? Are you still reading this, by the way? Gosh, what a sad life you must lead.

I like the smileys here, by the way. I might try a few out later.

Now, in an attempt to make friendly conversation: Isn't ABBA fantastic? #Waterloo... (Or, if you don't like ABBA, feel free to compliment me on my thumbs. I like when people compliment me on my thumbs).

Why, thank you. You shall be my friend from now on, and I will call you: "Jinxedwood".

I am indeed tempted to post in the mentioned thread Jinxedwood, but it's currently 03:15 AM in my timezone, which is not one of the times I'm feeling very alive. So, quite soon, I shall die for a few hours (As I like to do every night) and come back to life tommorow feeling all refreshed. Not to mention less dead. But I'll be sure to make my contribution then.

Welcome If Chickens Were Purple, like the username, and your autobiographical account of finding Green Wing. Well done you, clever tv guide eh, always there when you need it.

I found Green Wing accidentally, three times. I just happened to get bored at the same time each evening it would seem, and there it was, the last three episodes of series one. Seen them all now though :D yay.

Yes, rambled on a bit there, welcome to the forum, everyone's lovely.

Thanks for the advice ICWP...!
I like the smilies too, that was my main reason for choosing them. Where else could you have this :badger without being taken in by the RSPCA for genetically modifying badgers with "Tigger" bounce? eh?

Welcome.
