Sorry to be evil but I'm thinking purely comedy value here. Caroline and Mac are like Ross and Rachel, they are so much funnier when they are apart. I think getting Mac to forget their relationship was pure genuis, because if they got together I think I would get bored of it very easily. Thats from a critic, clinical perspective.

I'm not sure! I agree with the other comments, I think that there is so much more potential for storyline/comedy when they are not together! Although I have to say that I was soooo happy when they got together at the end of the first series, and was distraught when I realised that Mac couldn't remember the kiss at beginning of the second!

I don't know if Mac will remember, but it might be cool if they just start again. Mainly I just want them to be together :) I don't know if it'll happen in this series (I'm hoping this isn't the last), but by the time the show finishes, it will have to have happened, surely.

to be honest, i think it will. i think Mac likes Caroline too much, and from the ep yesterday, he's not gonna change his mind to suit Holly.

but u realise they will probably drag out the whole holly thing like mac is screwed up cos he doenst know how he feels about holly etc etc etc or they may say that actually holly didnt kill her baby and mac is a father, and thats why she went to the US,....

but i think, like the ross and rachael thing, it made the whole thing of will they/ wont they one million times better when they actually did in the end, and i think that at the end of series 2 (as all the producers etc say it will probably be the last *sobs*) they shud sooo get together, because then u have all the comedy value, and every mac/caroline fan gettin what they want.

My point exactly! American shows go on for far too long, yet in England everyone's so scared of fading away (as opposed to burning out). I don't think shows over here run for long enough. I suppose it's better than going on forever, I don't like shows that do that, but still, a happy medium would be nice :)

I reckon that they'll get 2gether in the end and they'll both 4give eachother 4 all the stupid things they've done and Holly will go away or die(i did c in a sum up of next weeks episode that thers somthing leading to injury and death*crosses fingers*hopefully Holly)
I reckon Guy will end up being happy because he got what he wanted all along and will just move on
and probly the episode at christmas will show how their lives r going and stuff like that.

I'm afraid I'm a bit more cynical, I think something dreadful (I mean, maybe a relationship will be jeopardised or someone will see something they shouldn't have, that kind of thing) will happen at the very end of episode 8, and we will have to wait until December for the conclusion to said event(s). I think it may well include Caroline & Mac. The writers are evil in their brilliance, they like to keep us waiting. Damn them :) but you know, we secretly love it. Okay, I do.

I'll be sad when we have nothing left to wait for to be honest. I don't want GW to end.

aaaaand *bursts bubble*.... guy was hardly a bad guy in ep6... he was actually really sweet, and now i really dont mind hu gets hu, as long as everyone in the gw world is happy....(and caroline gets someone). (preferably guy, because he probably wont find someone else long-term ever, cos caroline is the only one to have melted his heart.... would u ever see him with a nurse or someone, spending time cheering them up and telling them he loved them!!??)

i think that seeing as the gw writers think ther probably wont be a series 3, they wouldnt be mean enough to leave us with a cliffhanger... they probably will until ep9 - thats the "or does she?" bit of the ep8 summary, which will probably be resolved in ep9. but i heard somewhere that ep9 was designed to tie up all loose ends, so they will probably make it nice.... and so everyone is happy.

did anyone here watch no angels? i think that the last epsode will probably be like that - where it is sort of left at a nice point, and everything is tied up.

mac always seems to end up saying something silly or playing games whenever anything gets serious, such as when he said something about switching shifts instead of moving in... maybe its cos hes too shy, but i think that inevitably guy is prob the best for caroline right now... she has turned him all nice and soppy, which is really sweet!

I think what Caroline and Mac 'suffer' from is that they're both quite insecure and unwilling to make the first move. Guy has always been very sure of himself and will pursue what he wants, but it doesn't necessarily make him more worthy or better suited for Caroline.
