Title: The IT Crowd
Angeleyes - February 11, 2006 01:23 PM (GMT)
Has anyone else been watching this?
I thought the first episode was quite good, but the second was amazing, especially the bit with the strees class and and pretending the fire was a screensaver.
I think Richard Ayoade is awesome, and Chris Morris...The lady is quite annoying though..
What do you think?
cheddargorge - February 18, 2006 03:25 PM (GMT)
I thought it was pretty poor, to be honest. I'm quite sad that Chris Morris has lowered himself to be in such shit. But that's just my opinion.
xjessx - April 5, 2006 08:22 PM (GMT)
watchd bit of it dnt really lik it !!
Justsam - April 5, 2006 09:14 PM (GMT)
It's one of those programs that you either love or hate me and my chums er... mates love it though. Moss and Denholm are easily the funniest characters.
xjessx - April 7, 2006 10:52 AM (GMT)
its stupid funny thats why i dont like it ... has nothin that appeals to me
darrelljon - April 10, 2006 07:23 PM (GMT)
It probably seems worse because its formulaic and some of the actors in it have been in much more original comedies like Chris Morris in Brass Eye and Richard Ayoade in Garth Marenghi's Darkplace (even the writer Graham Linehan has been more successful with Father Ted). If it was a bunch of unknowns it might have been better received. I think Chris Morris is a good character actor and does the best with the character given to him in the IT Crowd.

pathologybunny - April 19, 2006 03:09 PM (GMT)
:jawdrop If you don't like it then why do you watch it?
Lollapalooza - April 19, 2006 04:14 PM (GMT)
I dont!
I watched the first few episodes thinking it was going to be really funnie
and it wasn't
GirlCalledMalice - May 4, 2006 08:53 PM (GMT)
I walked past the guy who plays Moss on the way to the theatre in London he other day. I'm ashamed to say I gawped, then as soon as he walked past shouted 'That's Moss from the IT Crowd!'.
To my friend, not just randomly.
God, what would happen if I saw Steven Mangan, or Tamsin Greig? I might combust. My friend served Tamsin in Waitrose lol I'm not jealous...
:notworthy

hash-dash - May 6, 2006 11:32 PM (GMT)
I only caught a few episodes, kept missing it, but I thought the one with the goth behind the red door (was it red?) was the funniest. Mostly because I know people like that, though not goths, mostly emos but whatever. It was still funny.
'when you first listen to [cradle of filth] it's just noise, but then you realise its actually quite beautiful'
or something to that effect and in a high pitched voice. haha :roflmao
guy_and_caroline_4_eva - September 28, 2006 11:09 PM (GMT)

swissluvagirl - February 5, 2007 04:42 PM (GMT)
Thought it deserved a place. The one with Noel Fielding is so funny
It already had a place - there was a thread already started for it on page 3 of the 'any other weird and wonderful programmes' section. I've merged the threads but please swissluvagirl can you start looking through the previous threads as this keeps happening! Sorry to nag... Bingle x
bingle - February 5, 2007 04:49 PM (GMT)

I liked the IT crowd i loved the red door episode Noel Fielding was ace in it. the only thing that annoyed me was chris o'dowds character was always shouting, it got annoying after a while
guyoline - March 14, 2007 02:53 PM (GMT)
i really want the dvd but it seems like a lot of money for only a few 20min episodes
I'm looking forward to the next series :)
bingle - March 14, 2007 10:02 PM (GMT)
Next series? :high When?!
guyoline - March 14, 2007 10:24 PM (GMT)
I'm not fully sure but they were doing live recordings not too long I think  but i could be wrong - I've defo heard that they are doing a series 2
Little_Simba - August 31, 2007 07:04 PM (GMT)
So series 2 has started. :badger :woohoo Episode 2 of it is on tonight. :high
I loved the first in the new series last week - just as fuuny as series 1, although v. little was set in the office and, from the looks of the trailer for tonight's, there is a lot set elsewhere again so a slight worry about the sitcom but, on the whole, yay! Tonight's looks like it's going to revolve around death, though. *sigh* I hope it won't be distastefully done because I don't like that sort of comedy.
Still, all that aside, "I very exciiite," as Borat would say, to see the return of this great sitcom.
guyoline - September 1, 2007 12:32 AM (GMT)
oh gosh today's episode was so fab i love the whole death thing and the vibrating phone :roflmao love it
sadly noel was not in it enough :(
Port-ahh Lover - September 1, 2007 01:27 PM (GMT)
FAAAAATHER!!!!!!!!
YAAY! My ever fabulous Bainbridge playing velvety smooth talking Nick Berry.
:D :D
Little_Simba - September 14, 2007 04:29 PM (GMT)
"If I did that it would blow my cock off!" :roflmao
I laughed a lot at the supposed heart attack that turned out to be the 'phone vibrating... and the way everyone hardly batted an eyelid about it!
I can't believe Denham's dead, though!! :o
PigRescuer - September 15, 2007 05:58 PM (GMT)
Peterfile!
*giggles*
Is there anywhere to watch past episodes, does anyone know?
JRT/SM ultimate fan! - February 16, 2008 08:25 PM (GMT)
If anyone has got the dvds its got this mental html thing you have to work out for every episode and all sorts. That show is just total genius though. Apprently their doing a third series :excited Does anyone know that if they release a boxset thats the end.theres no other series???
Little_Simba - February 28, 2008 06:15 PM (GMT)
What's this html thing for each ep?... Sounds most intriguing. B) My mum's just bought the series 1 DVD. Will it be on that?
They're definitely doing a third series?!!! YES!!! I didn't think series 2 was as good as 1 but that isn't to say a series 3 won't be as good, is it?

Oh, no, they've released boxsets of loads of things and then made more series. :)
