Title: Fashion Thread
Description: rather straight forward actually.
Port-ahh Lover - March 29, 2008 10:18 PM (GMT)
Righto, new thread time!

And pics are not only welcome but wholeheartedly encouraged. :D
I'll start the ball rolling.

1900s gear modelled by John Barrowman

Is it wrong that i wish the early 1900s gear would make a big comeback???? :P
Chapman - March 29, 2008 10:53 PM (GMT)
or alternatively there is the wearing nothing fashion as demonstrated by john barrowman here:

but for the 1900's they rocked:

check that hat!!!
newestgreenwingfan01 - March 29, 2008 10:56 PM (GMT)
 i was gonna put as my picture John topless in jeans as shown in DW but i thought clothes were necessary!!!
Oh and me likey fireman gear!!!!
guyoline - March 29, 2008 11:09 PM (GMT)

Grey Hoodies and polo shirts:

This isn't fashion thread, your all using it as an excuse for preving over DW and TW gentleman!
The title of this thread is misleading, it should be along the lines off...Mentally porning these guys!
Chapman - March 30, 2008 05:22 PM (GMT)
my fireman wasnt tw or dw!!!
guyoline - March 30, 2008 06:01 PM (GMT)
lol sorry but i did go a bit fangirly

Lol okay thats the one exception!!
Ros my mum wear the boots over jeans! It makes me giggle cos she's old, but then she goes work at H&M so has to keep up to date!!
I am in love with all the victorian style shirts...and the shirt dresses, i totally adore my blue and white stripped one!!
Port-ahh Lover - March 30, 2008 07:19 PM (GMT)
you have a shirt dress Jess? that is SO cool!!!
at the moment I also really like victorian boots, the knee high ones with lots of buckles.
Such as these:

or these

soooo pretty
oiyoupingpongman - March 30, 2008 07:36 PM (GMT)
Where are those boots from Lottie? They are pretty.
NO! Polo shirts NO! Their continued existence encourages men to dress unimaginitively (ruddy hell, thats a long word)
I'm not big on the whole sailor look going on at the minute either. Makes me feel a bit seasick.
I also HATE those poncey girl-shirts with bows round the collar. Everyone who wears them automatically looks like Maggie Thatcher.
And dont get me started on Ugg Boots...
I'll go and find some positives in a minute!
xjessx - March 30, 2008 09:24 PM (GMT)
Lottie isnt gorgous - from H&M of course £14.99.
Do you know what i should properly ask my mum whats in fashion for spring and summer and post it on here!
Hollie i love the sailor look!!
Although i hate all those tops that make you look like you have abnormal breats!
Ohh those boots are hot!! Although i prefer my rounded toe, brown typically Astrid style victorian whore boots!!
guyoline - March 30, 2008 09:48 PM (GMT)
oh I love the astrid style whore boots they are amazing but they would never fit over my fat legs so I never even try looking for them...
xpingux - March 31, 2008 09:24 AM (GMT)
i hate ugg boots too. euh.
i have a shirt dress :D but its too big for me now lol.
i went to lahndon the other day and there is this shop in oxford street called Beyond Retro. i love it!
and those boots are lurvly!
Port-ahh Lover - March 31, 2008 05:46 PM (GMT)
I especially adore the white pair. I think it's the off centre buttons.
oiyoupingpongman - March 31, 2008 08:39 PM (GMT)
Okay, so went shopping today, in search of Pretty Victorian-esque Boots as above - NO JOY! New Look have made a paltry effort involving impossible looking heels and cheap plastic, and I didnt have time to get to Schuh, and the H&M in the Metro is truly rubbish. But, really I'm not asking for much!
Loving all the spring colours out and about at the minute though. Despite the fact theres too much floral. OOH and Warehouse have some stunning dresses *dreams*
guyoline - March 31, 2008 09:57 PM (GMT)
i soo need to find a prom dress but don't know where to start and have no cash
XTill_Masterx - March 31, 2008 10:34 PM (GMT)

Chapman - March 31, 2008 11:24 PM (GMT)

oiyoupingpongman - March 31, 2008 11:27 PM (GMT)

XTill_Masterx - March 31, 2008 11:29 PM (GMT)

I WANT A LEATHER JACKET BUT THEY LOOK STUPID ON ME. Why is this?
XTill_Masterx - March 31, 2008 11:33 PM (GMT)
I got one :D
Well two actually but meh.
Depends what type you go for..I got a blazer style one and a bomber style..you just gotta choose the right one m'love
oiyoupingpongman - March 31, 2008 11:41 PM (GMT)
I need your help I think because I'm doomed to choose one that makes me look like either:
1) a charcoaled sausage
2) A 50 year old man
3) An undertaker
Help!
Chapman - March 31, 2008 11:42 PM (GMT)
i just gave up on them for exactly that reason.
XTill_Masterx - March 31, 2008 11:45 PM (GMT)
Biker Jackets look good on everyone, it's fact.
oiyoupingpongman - March 31, 2008 11:47 PM (GMT)
Oh, I forgot
4) A hooker.
The only thing that looks good on everybody is skin!
guyoline - March 31, 2008 11:52 PM (GMT)
oh yeah that annarock is BAD!
I think Nessa's clothes are Hallarious though
XTill_Masterx - April 1, 2008 12:04 AM (GMT)
Nothing wrong with looking like a hooker.
I've been told frequently lately that I bear resemblance to one.
oiyoupingpongman - April 1, 2008 12:15 AM (GMT)
I dont mean a hot Julia Roberts-style hooker. I mean a chain-smoking, bad face lift, rotting teeth, possibly bald hooker. That may in fact at one point have been a 50 year old male undertaker.
XTill_Masterx - April 1, 2008 12:33 AM (GMT)
Actually, talking of hookers..I got told yesterday by some random chick I look like Ashlee Simpson.
It confused the hell out of me..
I mean THE HELL?
guyoline - April 1, 2008 12:48 AM (GMT)
does she not really knwo who ashlee simpson is? or really meant someone else? because that is silly...
XTill_Masterx - April 1, 2008 12:52 AM (GMT)
Well yeah..I was sitting there thinking 'The Hell? Ashlee Simpson is hot'
Confused me majorly
guyoline - April 1, 2008 12:59 AM (GMT)
oh i didn't mean that I meant that you two just look totally different and she irritates me a bit (you don't) :)
waistcoats, oh yeah i mentioned them already but they make people look more hotter then they already are i.e david tennant and gareth david lloyd :)
xpingux - April 1, 2008 09:37 AM (GMT)
my leather jacket it waii to big for me now :(
im gonna get a new one next time i go to london cos there are only about £30 in beyond retro.
and i likee waistcoats.

very nice Julian ;)
oiyoupingpongman - April 1, 2008 01:58 PM (GMT)
Thats another thing! Long coats! All men should own a long coat, its all pretty and swishy.
I like Beyond Retro Em. Wish they had more stores nation-wide :(
Chapman - April 1, 2008 06:04 PM (GMT)
ive never heard of them, what are they like? or even better, whats thier website?
xpingux - April 1, 2008 07:59 PM (GMT)
There is one in Oxford Street (thats the one i've been too) and another one in london somewhere and some in Stockholm.
