Title: I'd Do Anything
guyoline - March 16, 2008 08:45 PM (GMT)
oh my gosh how great was that show? sorry but I love the Beeb soo much for this being the ftthird of a load of great shows.
John showing his bum - as per usual :P
I really liked sarah jane she was good and that crazy woman who brought her B/F with her. She was so nancy all over - too funny for words
Not sure about the opera girl she's a bit too squeaky clean for my liking.
Cleopatra is great too and Nancy is really sweet and she had a lot of passion
I realled loved the fact that one of the boys said he was a DW fan - he needs to win now even though I don't know what one he was haha!
can't wait for more john goodness :D
newestgreenwingfan01 - March 16, 2008 08:49 PM (GMT)
 does it make me a horrible person when i say one of my main main reasons for watching the show (apart from actually ADORING all musicals) is the John Barrowman factor....
Hes just so lovely....
Oh and DW fan Oliver has to turn up next week so i can go HE HAS TO STAY!!!
And Cleopatra has to stay, she was so good!!!!
oiyoupingpongman - March 16, 2008 08:49 PM (GMT)
Hell yeah you started a thread. Knew I could rely on you!
I really hope the girl actually called Nancy gets onto the live shows, she was really sweet!
And the mad one, obviously.
Got to love the Webber for doing this. Third series of brilliance!
guyoline - March 16, 2008 08:54 PM (GMT)
he is soo funny especially when he doesn't like someone as you can tell by his face
the only problem I have with the crazy boyfriend lady is that the first time she sang her face looked a bit odd - which reminded me of helena which is defo not a good thing
and in the next weeks clip there was a girl hugging John *jealous much!*
and when Lee Mead came to the oliver auditions I was thinking: "if I was there I think I would have pounced on him" and "OMG we're going to see him in july" :high
(and Hols, of course I had to start a thread, i'm going to be talking about this show way too much)
on another note- is there a Gavin and Stacey thread? if not I'll make one now
newestgreenwingfan01 - March 16, 2008 08:58 PM (GMT)
 yeah i saw Lee and went
Pretty pretty pretty pretty boy!!!
Lucky lucky denise!!!!
John, Denise and Lee are both too attractive and talented to be allowed to live without knowing me......
i was gonna end that sentence on allowed to live but i love them too much to be jealous of their talent and looks and partners.....

Haha my mum saw that bit and said "You've missed a trick there", if only I could sing
guyoline - March 16, 2008 10:09 PM (GMT)
through the whole show I was thinking "I so should have auditioned" that would be soo amazing! but I can't sing really but I would have at least tried, just get through one audition and then I would have met John again and been happy. Plus I would actually love playing Nancy. But i think they would have told me I was a little young anyway, they seem to be looking for people in their late 20's although there are a fair few young ones though...
oiyoupingpongman - March 16, 2008 10:47 PM (GMT)
It's ridiculous they put one girl through who was 18. Nancys meant to be about 30!
I didn't see Lee come in! When was that, how did I miss it? Am appalled.
guyoline - March 16, 2008 10:49 PM (GMT)
go watch it again it was fairly near the begining, I swear the boys either didn't know who he was or didn't care
guyoline - March 22, 2008 08:13 PM (GMT)
oh my gosh how emotional was that? i think I'm maybe in a bit of a bad state anyway but still I was pratically crying along with them.
And of course I was uber jealous when half of them got to Hug John I really wish i entered, I wouldn't have got through the first round but it would have been fun to try, just in case I did get to meet Graham and John and everyone.
I also though Denise looked really pretty especially near the start when she was giving one or tow of the girls advice. But lee looked hot as always, i love the fact that he's in the show a little :)
I really liked the boy from Wlaes, he's so cute I think I want him to be Oliver mianly because he's welsh but he is great
I'm really glad Jodie is through she totally rules bless her. And Cleopatra. Fran was rather good too but then she is a profesional I guess.
I think this series will be interesting trying to vote for all these people, not that I ever phone in but I feel like I already have a favourite or two.
I thought Nancy would get through and I felt really bad for that girl who worked in Burger King, i know she wasn't as good as the final 12 but she was lovely but never mind.
sorry I'm obessed with this show! and John was filing for series 4 w00t, he is clearly in the finale! :excited:
xjessx - March 23, 2008 04:13 PM (GMT)
lol Have only watched it once, i dont really like any of the girls they've got that much!
But oh i do love the little blonde welsh boy! I want him to win!
oiyoupingpongman - March 23, 2008 04:35 PM (GMT)
omg I forgot to watch it! This is the problem with university and all the days merging into one...Will head over to bbc iplayer straightaway!
Port-ahh Lover - March 23, 2008 09:26 PM (GMT)
Who I'm backing for this series:
Welsh boy has GOT to win, he's way too funny.
And the girl who made John have hysterics and brought her date to the suditions should win, she's too funny not to.
IMO - March 23, 2008 10:55 PM (GMT)
Am also surprised that the one called Nancy didn't get through - but then it's hard to judge them when we only get glimpses of them all. I mean that one with all the ginger hair got through and I swear that's the first time we've seen her on screen
I like the way they're dealing with the boys - none of this making them wait around in a big house all day before being told they haven't been chosen.
I thought it was quite funny the way they called the 4 young Nancy's back in to sing and then they all stood there in tears when they weren't singing. Have to say I was surprised the slightly well built young Nancy (long dark hair) was still in at that point anyway as she really had no voice to speak of.
And yay (off topic) we saw a clip of Captain Jack clinging to the side of a spinning tardis :yeeay
Chapman - March 23, 2008 11:07 PM (GMT)
i also only watch this for the barrowman factor!
and i want the wlesh boy to win, just because he has an amazing accent,
and arthur is the name of the doctor who fan
and i think cleo is really good, but i cant tell how good her voice is.
guyoline - March 23, 2008 11:07 PM (GMT)
I thought it was odd that they never showed some of the people who got through i.e the ginger one as I now feel like i have favourites already but then at the same time it's kinda unfair as I have seen more of certain people then others
and :excited they confirmed the fact the John is definately in series 4 - and as DWM have revealed ALL the casting lists aside from the series finale aka the last two episodes he must be in those two w00t
which also means that we don't have to go an ENTIRE year without Jack because as soon as TW ends he'll be back in about 11 weeks after that yay (sorry that was quite off topic...)
so yeah welsh kid and Jodie I think are the two I want to win!
oiyoupingpongman - March 24, 2008 06:40 PM (GMT)
What? Why are you talking about DW in here? Keep your obsession under control Rozzie!
So, I love this program. Devastated Nancy didn't get through - she seemed so perfect for the part (even aside from the name coincidence.) But I'm pretty happy with the ones that did. I really like the crazy bf one (sarah jane?) and Cleo seems nice, also one of the younger ones with straight hair, she had a good voice. I wish I remembered more of their names...
I think the thing with some getting more screen time than others is not neccessarily to bias the viewer but just based on practicality. They have to pick a couple to follow because they can't show everyones backstory. So they choose a likely few and focus on them - whether they go out or not (e.g. the burger bar girl)
How cute are Denise Van Outen and John Barrowman toegther? They make the best double act. I would totally turn gay for Denise, and back again for John if I thought I had a chance in turning him. Lol.
guyoline - March 24, 2008 08:39 PM (GMT)
I love denise too, I would turn gay for her, Naoko Mori and Tamsin Greig of course :)
the crazy bf one is Jodie!!! sarah jane is the one with the short hair and glasses and the child and who didn't get into the final 18
xjessx - March 24, 2008 08:49 PM (GMT)
You will not turn gay for Naoko Mori..i forwn at screen cos she's my bitch..and no one else is allowed to oogle over her!
lol i love how everyone likes the welsh boy - its it cos of Torchwood i dont know. Even my mum wants him to win!
Denise and Jophn do have great on screen chem, and are great for thy eyes!
guyoline - March 24, 2008 08:54 PM (GMT)
i think it does have something to do with TW but i just love the accent it's fab!
especially when he says "I've come to london to make my fortune" too cute for words!
and hey at least I didn't say Billie Piper too - then you would have had a fit wouldn't you Jess
xjessx - March 24, 2008 09:01 PM (GMT)
Ohh it is so sweet when he says that!!
I think i dont like the girls, cos none of the fit the character. There either to old or to clean..that i just cant seem them playng her. Although agree with all that Nancy in Doctor Who would be great for the part!
I wouldn't throw a fit...i would bit you're ear of Alan Davis style!
oiyoupingpongman - March 24, 2008 09:05 PM (GMT)
haha...Alan.
The little welsh boy was just CUTE. With his accent and general tinyness. He looked about 5 years old! And loads of the Nancy's did look too young, but i think some of the final 12 have promise.
Jodie! That's it! At the moment, I want her to win. Can't wait for the live shows...
newestgreenwingfan01 - March 29, 2008 08:03 PM (GMT)
 OMG barry humphries is a legend!!!!
"You make me want to live in the Isle of Mann"
"Im sorry but I just have to say this. You were gorgeous"
"You look like Wednesday from the Addams Family"
I was killing myself laughing and seeing John burst out laughing at Barrys comments made my night as well..
And the Olivers are soooooooooooo cute, i loved the Oliver who dropped the coin, it made me giggle...
Cant wait for the results show tomorrow!!!
guyoline - March 29, 2008 08:35 PM (GMT)
:excited welsh boy is through huzzah!
i love this show and we've already had John doing his hot scottish accent  and his shouting "fantastic, fantastic, fantastic!" now all we need is his "hot hot hot!"
and i love how well he gets on with dinease and that bit at the end where she said that the last gir reminded her of someone and he was like "OMG YES!!"
and Celo is from brit school w00t w00t (i so hope my sister gets in there)
and Jodie was so lovely i want her to win so much and i want that dress
some of the girls i didn't like, mainly their voice
and i'm uber jealous of those 2 17 year olds they are both stunning, john called one of them "baby" in a sexy way and gah
this show makes me jealous
must calm down...
Port-ahh Lover - March 29, 2008 09:40 PM (GMT)
JODIE SHALL WIN!!!1
HER AND WELSH BOY WOULD MAKE AN OLIVER I WOULD PAY TO SEE!!!!!!
IMO - March 30, 2008 02:41 PM (GMT)
I haven't got a definate favorite yet so I didn't bother voting last night. Can't believe the results show is on Sundays - how annoying is that.
I think the first girl who sang last night will go - whatever her name is. Or one of the two professionals
Some of the dresses were unflattering to say the least
And do the Oliver's get put through a public voting process at any point
guyoline - March 30, 2008 03:03 PM (GMT)
jessie I think was the name of the first one  i don't mind her but she's not the best
I really didn't like the one who sang "suddenly I see" her voice was a bit gah!
guyoline - March 30, 2008 07:08 PM (GMT)
ok well I'm really glad welsh boy who's name is too confusing for me to remember is through anf his solo bits were so cute - I so hope he wins I would defo go and see him as oliver
and Jodie is legend! she worked it when they sang "sound of the underground" she HAS to win I totally adore her and to see her as Nancy would pwn!
I wasn't really keen on amy so I'm not bothered she left but I was angry that tara (i thnk that's her name) wasn't in the bottom two, she's pretty but her voice is the most irritating and for some reason I don't know why but I've decided I don't like her
I quite like Franchescca and I'm glad she's through and she definately had the better voice but if she doesn't win or get near the end I reckon she would easily find work just because she is already established and I think that's part of the reason why she was in the bottom two in the first place
and I want Cleo to do well just because she went Brit school and is therefore pretty great
the other black girl who sings like sherily bassey is great and should go far too
not enough John in this and it's blatently recorded yesterday because john is on tour and some of his gigs start at half 7 all over the country so yeah
plus why else would the lines have to close only an hour after the show
i reckon the only reason why it's on the sunday is because they have no time to fit it n to on the saturday
newestgreenwingfan01 - March 30, 2008 08:13 PM (GMT)
Agh no!! I dont want Jodie to win!!!
Keisha, Samantha, Irish girl or Cleo are my Nancies!!!
*is not childishly giggling*
Oh did anyone else burst out laughing when the Olivers sang?!?! IT WAS THE GINGER CHILD SONG!!!!
Guy Secretan i love you!!!!
oiyoupingpongman - March 30, 2008 09:08 PM (GMT)
OMG it was! I didnt even notice *slaps* Bad fan!
But tbf i was almost convulsing with the cuteness. How adorable is little Welsh Oliver whos name I can't remember? Awww he looks about three years old!
I like Jessy, Jodie, and Cleo. But then again, I missed the Saturday show so Im not entirely sure what standard their singing is at. They all seemed amazingly good though. And their dresses are AWFUL.
I think the same as you rozzie, theyve only put the results on Sun because theres too many girls at the minute to fit it in one night. Guess we'll have t wait and see though, its a bit of a pain because I want to go OUT and its not even on iplayer!
guyoline - March 30, 2008 09:50 PM (GMT)
yes it is! and you're going out tonight :( you went out last night - some people have the life <_<

omg you know everything :knockout
They should be able to squeeze an extra half hour programme in on the Saturday night, they've always done it before. Just because they did this with the Celebrities ballroom dancing programme, doesn't mean the BBC can keep doing it with every show
Agrees the dresses are hideous :o
OK favorite Nancy's are Niamh (otherwise known as Wednesday) and Sarah, although I do like Jodie I think she looks too old.
I can't see both Rachel and Samatha lasting til the end as they are too alike in the looks department. And Tara comes over as being too pop
Is looking forward to the Nancy's having to do on screen kissing with John Barrowman when they have to practice acting
guyoline - March 30, 2008 10:14 PM (GMT)
I'm not I would be fuming and exploding from jealousy
I don't like that tara girl either, everything about her bugs me especially her voice
wednesday is alright but too young maybe?
as is the cute looking one who played a 12 year old when she was 18???
oiyoupingpongman - April 6, 2008 08:38 PM (GMT)
wtf? Cleeeeoooooooooooooooooooooooo.
Even though it was the wrong decision (i.e. Tara should have gone out) I would still have chosen Cleo over Keisha! Unfair! I demand a recount!
Want Jodie to win now. And I'm really not keen on Samantha (not just siding with Barrowman...well, slightly siding with Barrowman!)
Those rats were cute! I've never understood being scared of them, at least they have the correct number of eyes and legs, unlike spiders *shudders*
Chapman - April 6, 2008 08:52 PM (GMT)
what??? i wanted her to be in the final!!!

i can't believe i missed this, and i bet its not on youtube. but incase it is, what is the name of the song?
edit: found it
olivers singing ginger child

OK why is every single programme available to watch on BBC iplayer, apart from tonights results show. I was out and I missed it
I can't see Keisha as Nancy. I could sort of see Cleo as Nancy because of the Nancy in the BBC Oliver production.
oiyoupingpongman - April 6, 2008 08:55 PM (GMT)
Me too. In fact, I thought Cleo would win.
Then again I have faith in the Lords judgements (that is, Andrew Lloyd-Webber, not God) as he must know what he is doing.
Awwww the little Olivers this week! Chester is a whole head taller than Guion!
Chapman - April 6, 2008 08:59 PM (GMT)
but gwion is so cute! i want him to win just on how he says 'i've come to london to make my fortune'
it is possibly the cutest thing ever!
IMO - April 6, 2008 09:01 PM (GMT)
I can definately pick out which Oliver's won't make it :eehee there's that one with the short dark spikey hair who can't stop smiling - he's definately out
OK back to the girls. I do not like Francesca's voice  and then there's Jessie who had to learn to walk in heels this week, there's something about her that just misses the mark
I think Rachel (the one in yellow) will be in the final :) and I predict that The Lord will at some point let Jodie go if she ends up in the bottom two - don't know why, just a feeling.
oiyoupingpongman - April 6, 2008 09:09 PM (GMT)
Oh yeah! I saw that kid, bless him. He's too cheery to play a lost and lonely orphan!
Did you not think Jessie sang Killing Me Softly beautifully? I thought she was the best on Saturday. But I agree about Francesca, sometimes she just sounds too shouty.
Niamh still looks too young to play the part convincingly. And christ, that girl needs a good meal. Shes so gaunt
