Title: When To Start The Great GWFF Catch-up
Description: Have your say
Little_Simba - November 29, 2007 05:59 PM (GMT)
My suggestion is to devote two weeks to each episode (although that hasn't been decided or anything) so if that is the case and we do it without a break (only if, though), this will take 36 weeks!
PigRescuer - November 29, 2007 06:28 PM (GMT)
I couldn't pick!
I think January's the best time, though.
Or maybe Christmas.
ARGH!
Sorry for my non-help.
IMO - November 29, 2007 10:23 PM (GMT)
PigRescuer - December 2, 2007 09:52 PM (GMT)
That is until September.
I counted. :)
oiyoupingpongman - December 2, 2007 11:11 PM (GMT)
Well thats okay, if we're being given two weeks per ep, everyone should be able to find time to do it surely.
Unless your on holiday then of course!
Little_Simba - December 3, 2007 04:54 PM (GMT)
As long as everyone's committed *looks stern at entire forum :P *, I'd like to think going on until September won't be a problem but, like I say, it's only if people are serious about wanting to do this.
As the general feeling is to start in Jan, how about we start on 4th Jan because that is the date the special was broadcast so wouldn't that be appropriate? :) :) I think 4th Jan is a Friday as well so would that sound agreeable with everyone?...
enzotherhino - December 3, 2007 05:51 PM (GMT)
Erm that date may not be great for me cos I have a thing in the evening and go back to Uni on the saturday ( i think i got longer holidays at school!)
But if its ok for everyone else then I don't really mind.
Little_Simba - December 3, 2007 07:54 PM (GMT)
Well, that's just when we could start but you'd have 14 days to watch the ep in if we're going with the two weeks per ep thing.
XTill_Masterx - December 3, 2007 09:40 PM (GMT)
I'm happy with this..it sounds good.
It's about time I watched the DVDs again I should think.
IMO - December 4, 2007 10:25 PM (GMT)
January  OKaay
And I suppose 2 weeks is OK as well, it gives everyone time to watch each one and comment :)
xpingux - December 4, 2007 10:46 PM (GMT)
that's alreet by me, but i might not be on much the first 2 weeks in jan because of my mocks <_<
Little_Simba - December 5, 2007 06:01 PM (GMT)
I'm sure no one is going to be able to stick to it completely rigidly so don't worry. As long as we just stick to it as best we can and, even if we don't watch all eps when we say, are prepared to talk about the eps, it should work nicely. :) A cheer for IMO for coming up with the idea! Hip, hip... :excited
Now, what about the tiny Lyndons/Mindons idea?...
enzotherhino - December 5, 2007 08:14 PM (GMT)
Hooray!!
And Lyndons/Mindons would be brilliant if PR has time.
Chapman - December 5, 2007 08:49 PM (GMT)
how about intead of saying watch it on this date
why not have it watch it by this date, and let the commenting and discussions start on the said date,
just a suggestion, but i am good for all dates in the new year

Yeah, having one specific date to watch an ep is just far too hard and unfair on people so the idea is to have two weeks in which you can watch and talk about the ep at any time throughout so, for instance, you can watch and chat about episode 1 any time between 4th and 18th Jan (although there's no reason why we can't go on talking about eps after the two weeks allocated, is there?). :)
Does this make sense? lol
PigRescuer - December 6, 2007 09:11 PM (GMT)
I thought we were doing that anyway?
I am up for a Mindons, but not every two weeks.
Maybe one for each series, depending on how ficcing goes?
And, I'm sorry to quote Ross Geller, but Hollie -
Y-O-U-apostrophe R E means you are. Y-O-U-R means your.

*raises eyebrow* "Apostrophe E"? Really? I think you have a letter missing somewhere.

LOL, no, not every two weeks! I was thinking maybe just one. Yeah, depends if people are into ficcing, though, obv. That's why I was thinking it could be a drabble competition Mindons, maybe. Not too much writing or thinking.

Yes I do realise that vicky, having been an english language a-level student at some point in the distant past. But this is not an essay this is a casual note on a forum, so please dont get at me (or anyone else) for every tiny little mistake made. Especially with incorrect spellings :P
Yes perhaps a Mindons half way through and a Lindons at the end depending on how many entered the smaller version? That sounds like fun :)
guyoline - December 7, 2007 12:08 AM (GMT)
firstly, I would like to do this - sorry i didn't see the point in posting in here before - don't know why but yeah I'll take part and 2 weeks sounds fine especially when we can do it in our own time and just talk about it whenever. so yeah...
and secondly, i know it's probs just a typo vicky but please don't misquote friends in any way shape or form (plus there is an ! at the end of the sentence to show Ross' anger) but it's just a little thing that doesn't really matter but just felt like mentioning it
PigRescuer - December 7, 2007 08:42 PM (GMT)
There's no misquote there, it's exactly how he says it.
littlered - December 7, 2007 08:46 PM (GMT)
No, you missed an R. Although it appears you have edited; you are a sly devil.
PigRescuer - December 7, 2007 08:48 PM (GMT)
But that's a typo, not a misquote. Completely different thing.
littlered - December 7, 2007 08:49 PM (GMT)
I suppose that's true. The intention of not misquoting was there. :)
PigRescuer - December 7, 2007 08:51 PM (GMT)
Yuss.
Misquoting is a delibirate thing.
For example.
I do believe in commas, I do, I do.
Could actually be both a misquote and a quote. :D
