He was definitely married for more than three years before he decided he wanted a new wife.
And anyway, Princess Mary is about six! It doesn't work!
Also, she is American, I swear.

here we go
He married Catherine of Aragon in 1509 and divorced her in 1533. His longest marriage, and even then it was only 14 years  And he was in his 30's when he got onto Ann - she only lasted 1533 - 1536

See! He was in his thirties!
Henry had two sisters, Mary and Margaret.
One married a Scottish King, the other married a French King and then, if I remember, married someone and was the mother or grandmother of Lady Jane Grey.
They just have Margaret who is engaged to the King of Lisbon. (currently)
EDIT: Mary was grandmother of Lady Jane Grey, guess who was grandfather? The Duke of Suffolk, Sir Charles Brandon. I saw the looks. ;)

No, no, no..............
Click me here for info on Henry's wives.
They definately had a Mary :P
Don't know about Henry's sisters - although I should do

Henry didn't marry anyone called Mary.
I know all of this from memory.
Catherine of Aragon
Anne Boleyn
Jane Seymour
Anne of Cleves
Catherine Parr
Catherine Howard
The first three had Mary I, Elizabeth I and Edward XI in that order.
Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived!
(I might have got the last two Catherines mixed up, I can never remember)

Duh I'm talking about his daughter
PigRescuer - October 21, 2007 09:50 PM (GMT)
I never denied he had a daughter!
I only said that they rolled Henry's sisters into one, and now I can see why.
It avoids Princess Mary confusion.

Parr was the last one - I always get those two mixed up as well.
Opps right off topic now - which thread are we meant to be in :angel
Room 101: all people who go off topic (but it wasn't DW so it's not so bad) :angel

Yep, you did. Catherine Howard was the one Henry had killed for being a slut. And Bingle, they had John Donne quoting in Tristian and Isolde? That's madness.
Room 101: people getting things wrong (see? Not off-topic. Yay).

Just been reading an article on this in the paper today. Apparently The Tudors is made by an American company, which will explain the radiator seen in one of the bedroom scenes and the tarmaced drive  not to mention a carriage with springs which is from Victorian times, and the metal tape measure used to measure the King's inside leg - another thing not invented in Tudor times
