| QUOTE |
Shakespeare's great tragedy of a young man haunted by his father's ghost and driven to the edge of madness in his obsession to avenge his death. David Tennant returns to the RSC to play the title role, directed by RSC Chief Associate Director Gregory Doran. David last appeared with the RSC as Romeo in Romeo and Juliet and Antipholus of Syracuse in The Comedy of Errors in 2000. As well as acting extensively on the stage, most recently in The Pillowman at the National Theatre, David has become a household name as the tenth actor to portray Dr Who. His other TV and film role include Casanova, Blackpool, Bright Young Things and Barty Crouch Jr in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. This season he also appears as Berowne in Love's Labour's Lost. Patrick Stewart returns to the RSC to play Claudius. He last appeared with the Company to great acclaim during the Complete Works Festival as Antony in Antony and Cleopatra and Prospero in The Tempest.
Hamlet plays in repertoire at The Courtyard Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon from 24 July - 15 November 2008.
Public booking opens 15 October 2007. |

PigRescuer - October 6, 2007 12:36 PM (GMT)
I want to go!
But if we all book different tickets it won't work. :(
guyoline - October 6, 2007 05:43 PM (GMT)
well i don't think i'll be able to book any which is why i need someone else to do it - firstly who thinks they can because if NOBODY can get them I think I could get 2 but that's the max - you don't know how many times i have asked my dad to buy tickets and him waiting for the money to come back and the fact that he had to sort out the holiday etc etc. sorry
xjessx - October 6, 2007 06:33 PM (GMT)
Oh i want to go..to both! Shame i cant ask my dad to buy me and him tickets!
I know with out asking my mum wouldnt be able to pay for all the tickets, single income and all!!
If some is able to buy me a ticket i could properly send the money as soon as Ema goes in!
Though i dont suppose ot matters if we cant all sit together, were watching the play not each other, if we book tickets by our self we would just have to make sure it was on the same night!

PigRescuer - October 6, 2007 07:36 PM (GMT)
I don't know, what will you be going? :D
If we pick a date, we have enough forewarning not to make any other plans, I suppose.
xjessx - October 6, 2007 08:22 PM (GMT)
lol I might be!!
Erm i dont think we should go on the night it opens, cos there would most likely be an opening party!
PigRescuer - October 7, 2007 08:10 AM (GMT)
I don't see the logic there, but OK.
I think during the summer holidays is best. (For me, because all of you lot are a) students, b) in year thirteen or c) in year 11, so you all finish early anyway)
xjessx - October 7, 2007 01:11 PM (GMT)
lol Yas..well August would be best!
guyoline - October 7, 2007 01:17 PM (GMT)
depends when in august for me as I'm not missing my sister's birthday and not too late in august as nursing courses start early and I'm not missing results day and I know I'm going away then - late july would work though
xjessx - October 7, 2007 01:19 PM (GMT)
Well you're sisters birthday is one day!
...lol Im prepared to miss my mum's birthday, she has one every year and she understands the importance of David Tennant!! She mocked screamed at me when i said he was in it!
guyoline - October 7, 2007 02:43 PM (GMT)
well yeah but i'm not going on that day and it depends where we go away and stuff, my august gets very busy so I would prefer late july
oh gosh tickets go out 1 week tomorrow we need to sort this out mehtinks!
guyoline - October 16, 2007 09:51 PM (GMT)
:excited just booked two tickets to see hamlet :excited on the 1st august so if you are still going to try and book tickets it would be really good if you could go on that day, but on a majority of dates the tickets are selling fast, the saturdays are pratically gone (aside from matinees) and I only managed to get gallerys which is high up but I'm so happy I'm going, and I'm sure my sister will be overly pleased :D
