Set after series 3. Martha's first trip back on the TARDIS hasn taken them to Plu'ccko A.2.3, three hundred years into our future. Its starts at the end of their stay there, which they pretty much spend apart the whole time

"Hope, greatest power in the universe...'s"

The Braxstilotoi were using their mind control waves thing to control her body. To push her forward, making each step seem to come willingly.

He'd caught her eye, which she had been shifting her gaze about nervously. The Doctor was walking purposely, but slowly to the Braxstilotoi's ship.
Had the Doctor given into them and their 'Mind Tinkering'? The Doctor wouldn't do that, would he?
Then his head turned swiftly in her direction. A line of what looked like black sot, routed a course from the tip of his nose, down to his rosey upper lip and stretched upwards fading away as it reached to his right eye.
Martha smiled as he winked at her. He had a plan?

She stopped dead in her tracks. In the last couple of hours the only things she had control over, was what she looked at. And now she was freely smiling...Wait! She'd even stopped herself from walking any further.
Her grin widened as her shock turned to sheer amazement.

In seven seconds Doctor Martha Jones had it all worked out.
'Him' always totally and utterly 'Him'
That was what cut out their signal. It was that rush of blood, which shot's through your complex human body. Whenever you see that amazing, unbelievable man...alien...Time Lord. Who from one minute will be acting all of his 900+ years, then be bouncing like a 12 year old across, over, around and beneath his beloved ship, he was the one who held enough power to short circuit their mind control.
What was it he always went on about "Hope, greatest power in the unvierse...'s"
He tugged her sleeve up and grabbed her hand. "Just a little..?" he jogged lightly on the spot with a manic grin.

The Doctor pulled Martha close as they sprinted the last thirty or so feet down the dusty slop to the TARDIS. He unlocked the door and their hurried footsteps clanked on the metal grating.
"At last" Martha puffed, leaning against the railing. "That place was hell." She looked down at the torn and dirty beige dress 'Is there time to change out of this sack?"
He shook his head "However, there's just about enough time for a welcome home hug." He smiled, opening his arms. His arms wrapped firmly around her shoulders pulling her closer. "You miss me?" He asked gently swaying side ways.
"Oh just as much as you missed me" She answered casually.
She'd missed him terribly and even though he was back, there was still that empty ach.

He moves away from her quickly "Good good good! Right then the Braxstilotoi not a particularly nasty bunch" Martha raised an eyebrow at him "Wasn't alway's a nasty bunch" He wrinkled up his nose as he flipped a red switch on the consol "Emoria...EmPoria" He said popping his P enthusiastically "...Krag's fault. Have you ever tried to convince a gaint earwig not to enslave his fellow Braxstilotoias" He asked turning to her suddenly, catching her before she can stop her face contorting readying itself for tears.

She coughed and then coughed some more. Preferring to rip her throat raw, than see the look on his face. The look of guilt and shame, that he really shouldn't feel.
"And..." She asked composing herself.
"And well...he didn't listen, turned on that monstorsity he dares to call a machine. I escaped, not before reprogramming the machine to take all the Braxstilotoias back home while the guards have a little nap."
"So why was i still walking to the ship?"
"Ah! Well yes" he tugged his ear lobe "...messed with a few time lines. Just sort the..." He pressed two more buttons and gave what looks like but properly isn't what you think it is, a good tug.
"So have you fixed things then?"
"Oh Yes. Five, Four, Three, Two" There's a muffled pop "...One" The TARDIS is cleerly in flight as it throws them to the right "Press that switch, that one" He pointed in some general direction while his hands danced over buttons and levers. Gingerly she pushed the down what she could only pray would be...
"PING" She jumped back, loooking horrified.
"Pop Tart' The Doctor squeeled, ducked under the consol to take out whathe later described as a 'Sugary Delight' between bites.

"And you what was it..uh!" He bounced in the Captain Chair causing her to stumble into the Pop Tart a little.
"I quote: Why the...I'm not repeating your damnation...would a toaster need to be wired to the TARDIS" He grinned "Thats one of two answers" He rubbed the tip of his soft thumb across her bottom of her lips, smudging the jam and icing. She held her breath
"The second is..." Struggling to keep her voice steady. This really isn't fair!
"Oh...just stay still" He moved forward and she pressed further back into the chair "Stay still"
She screwed her eye's shut "Whatever it is get rid off it!!" She couldn't see his amused frown. Her head was filled with images of some small, slimy....

He gently sighed against her lips, she was no longer breathing again and the way his tongue ran along her lower lip was going to make her black out any minute.
Then her lips were longly again. She opened one eye to peek a look at him.
"Reason number two" He said as way of explaination.
Her heart plumeted with a heavy thud, him being 'Him'.

"Oh Doctor Jones" He said pulling her up with him and walking over to the door that lead to the reat of the interior "I've spend a lot of time thinking while you were away on Earth, the last 13 months and 7 days, 4 hours...anyway" He pushed her against the corridor wall, eye's looking down into her's "Your not going away again" His hazel brown eye's darkened "Ever"
He slowly leaned forward brushing his mouth against her sweet one "A sugary delight indeed" he groaned into Martha's mouth.
