"I cant believe you landed me in hospital," Gwen groaned as she held an ice-pack to her nose which was - she suspected strongly - broken. She turned a reproachful stare on Jack and Ianto who were sitting beside her, "Thanks to your forceful punch you gave me..."

"I was trying to punch Ianto!" Jack interrupted.

"I now have a broken nose!" Gwen finished.

"Ianto ducked!" protested Jack, "You got in the middle of it!"

"I was walking past with Tosh!" Gwen shrieked at him, "Notice SHE avoided a punching."

"She was talking to me," Ianto reminded her, his eyes twinkling.

"It was Iantos fault," Jack said, stubbornly, "If HE hadnt ducked..."

"Face of Boe complaining again?" a young woman smiled. In their heated discussion they hadnt noticed her walk up with a friendly-looking blonde man.

"Martha!" Jack beamed. Turning his eyes on the blonde man he stuck out a hand, "Captain Jack Harkness and WHO are you?"

Hed revealed his name to be Boyce and was succeeding so far in not flirting with Jack. Acting professional around a 51st century guy was hard enough, acting professionally around a gorgeous 51st century guy was torture.

"He made a kinky comment," Jack turned his twinkling, interested gaze onto the attractive, tuxedo-clad young man, "Even I was lost for words."

Martha and Gwen looked interested into what this kinky comment might have been to render Jack Harkness Innuendo Maker of the Year speechless and Ianto found three sets of eyes fixed on him. Boyce was now interested in examining his own shoes, his mind - just as bad as Jacks - firmly switched on.

"What did you say Ianto?" Martha asked, smiling, "For such a respectable, innocent young man, you cant honestly be filthy."

"Yeah!" Gwen looked stunned. Shed considered Ianto a baby brother. He couldnt be filthy-minded like her boss was.

Iantos blank expression turned into a wide smile, "Oh... Give me a stopwatch and a desperate man and im.... OUCH!"

Jacks second punch for him connected.

"Well, Gwen, your nose isnt broken," Martha turned a smile on the other woman, "Although dont walk past Jack again. Hes quite a dangerous man. Whisked us away to the end of the universe he did and almost trapped us there."

"How was i to know the Tardis was gonna try and shake me off?!" Jack responded.

"The what?!" Boyce looked thoroughly confused and turned to Martha, "And when were you in the end of the universe?! You were working here for the last few months!"

"Ah Ill leave you to explain shall I Martha?" beamed Jack and linking an arm through Iantos, whisked the youngest staff member off with Gwen, an amused smile on her face following leaving Martha to Boyces curious questions.

"Jack!" Gwen gave him a half exasperated, half amused look as they exited into the bright sunlight, "Poor Martha!"

"She brought it up," Jack shrugged, "I only mentioned the Tardis."

"Jack!" Gwen began but her phone rang. She smiled as she picked it up, "Hi Rhys."

"So, Ianto," Jack softly said as he and Ianto moved a little away from Gwen so she could talk privately to her fiance, "Got anything planned for tonight?" He shot Ianto his best charming smile.

"I havent Sir," Ianto said, his face carefully blank, "Why, want me to set you up for dinner with Boyce? I do live beside him."

"That would be nice," Jack admitted, "But no. Ianto do you know where the stopwatch is? I need some timing object for tonight."

He watched Iantos eyes widen ever so slightly as Jacks message translated to him.

They both knew Jack wasnt gonna time anything tonight.

Jack climbing down into his room saw a curious sight - Iantos suit clad legs sticking out from under his bed.

"You know Ianto," he said, conversationally, leaning against the ladder, "Your seduction techniques need a lot of work. Seeing your legs but not the rest of you isnt really alluring."

"Thank you for the advice Sir," came Iantos muffled response, "Ill keep that in mind."

"So are you planning to clean now?" Jack said, trying not to sound disappointed, "I didnt send the others home early just to watch you tidy my sleeping area."

"Im sure you didnt," Ianto now sounded amused, "You must have had your reasons for sending them home early Sir."

Jack grinned, "Indeed and you actually being visible helps for one of them."

Ianto chuckled, "Im pretty sure it does Sir. Aha! Found it!"

He re-emerged, looking slightly dusty but clutching a stopwatch in his hands triumphantly.

"What was that doing there?" Jack asked, looking first at the stopwatch than raising an eyebrow at Ianto.

"Think it must have been flung there the last time it was needed," Ianto said, smoothing down his suit, "One of us must have thought they didnt need to hold it for doing whatever it was we were doing at the time."

Jack stepped closer. Ianto gazed first at Jack then at the stopwatch then back at Jack and smiled.

They didnt really pay attention to the thud the stopwatch made as it fell on the floor. They were quite happily distracted.
