See I always knew Snape wasn't on the darkside :D otherwise why would Dumbledore have put so much faith in him.

Favorite section of the book is when they were back in Hogwarts, I also liked the bit with Dudley at the start, Krecher's change of heart towards Harry, aghhhh Page 502 :heart

but, but, but............ I want to know what careers Harry, Ron and Hermione took on, do we assume H and R both became Aurors :unsure: and I always saw Hermione as a Professor at Hogwarts. And did McGonall become the new Head :unsure:

Yeah I'm glad Snape wasn't evil. But I was disappointed that we didn't find out people's jobs.

I loved Kreacher and I was so upset when Dobby died.

I didn't think Harry was going to be a horcrux cos i didnt see how she could get round killing voldemort after he was dead but I really liked how that worked.

As I am 1) too poor to buy DH, and 2) too lazy to read it, can someone please PM me the main points of the book, especially the ending and stuff.

Although, just a mild afterthought, why does Harry name his kid after Snape? Snape never actually said he doesnt hate Harry, he just says hes protecting him cos of his love for Lily? Was the fact Snape protected him cos of the dead woman he loved enough to make Harry go: Actually Snape isnt a git after all?

Omg, best end to the series ever! I was saying to my dad just the other day that I thought JK couldn't win because if she had Hharry sacrifice himself, people would say it was cliché and if she had him survive and have a happy ending, they would say it was cheesy. But she actually pulled it off! Loved it.

I couldn't believe that it was only four chapters in and I already had tears in my eyes! Poor Hedwig and Mad-Eye! I definistely cried the most at Dobby's death and when Harry was walking towards death.

I did think that Draco would have been put to more use but the things he did, and Harry saving him were brilliant.

Everything was amazing though. Seriously the best book.

Yeah I know what you mean. Was watching Titanic earlier and the whole ending reminded me of HP when Jack comes to meet Rose when she dies. And also the song really fits HP too. Aww I'm gonna miss it so much.

Oh, im so devastated its all over. But yet ecstatically happy because HARRY SURVIVED. And yet J.K managed to please evrybody by killing him off, then brnging him back! Actually that really highlights the Messiah-ness (okay i could have put that better) of Harrys character, sacrificing himself to save the wizarding world, then coming back from the dead...

Why has nobody mentioned the horror of Fred dying? I think i actually screamed at that point! He was obviously the superior Weasley twin, and i thought, if they were going to kill off a Weasley, at least make it Percy. The git.

Am pleased theories about Good Snape and Harry The Horcrux were correct, as well as snape being in love with lily. Agree with IMO that we should have found out everyones jobs! Even if it had just been a list at the end of what happened to everyone!

I did think the book was a bit slow in the middle, when Ron left and it was just hermione and harry travelling about at random. And quite bleak at times (the implied rape of Adriana in particular) But my gods was it exciting at the beginning and end! Battle of Hogwarts was an especially inspired chapter!

On another random note, did the Battle of Hogwarts remind anyone else of Beauy and the Beast? Because they were using everything they could from Mandrakes and Venemous Tentacula to suits of armour and ghosts and in B & the B they use allsorts like candlesticks and cutlery and what have you. Granted the things in B & the B were all alive, but then so were the suits of armour to an extent. I just loved Neville running past with Mandrakes ready to launch at the DE.

Random again, but you know how JK said that two people died who she didn't intend and one person got a reprieve, well who do you think they were? I think the two who died were Dobby and possibly Tonks and the reprieve was Harry. Because I was thinking about it last night, at the end of The Forest Again doesn't it feel like perhaps she intended Harry to die there but then changed her mind and wrote King's Cross instead? Or maybe not because then where would that leave everyone else who had to kill Nagini and Voldemort. Actually scratch that, I have no idea :P

Final random but was just thinking this morning, if they stay true to the book, Dan's gonna have to get his kit off again for King's Cross hehe. After 3 hours of discussion in Cafe Nero (where all the best plans are laid) me and my friends have reached the conclusion that it was Lupin and Tonks who were supposed to live and Neville who was given a reprieve, as it looked likely that he would die killing a horcrux or Bellatrix Black at many points. Or perhaps Hagrid as we all thought hed died when falling off the motorbike, then when attacked by giant spiders...he had a lucky escape!

I personally thought it was Lupin and Tonks who werethe two killed off at late notice, as they were a pair and also their deaths were referred to very quickly and with no detail. This upset me a bit, actually, as the book had already mildly implied Lupin's cowardice in running from Tonks' pregnancy, I felt he deserved at least a detailed and tear-jerking death scene.

The reprieve I think must have been someone who had a later role in the novel that she had to keep them to fulfil, but because we don't know when the person was meant to die, who knows lol Perhaps Luna?

I want to know the chapter where JKR bawled her eyes out - Harryw alking to his death maybe?

Finally got around to finishing it! And Omg!! What a book!!

It's made me feel pretty much every emotion there is to feel! I've cried, Laughed, screamed, fallen on the floor in shock..it's all been there!!

Okay right..

*happy dance* My theory was right!! I said all along that Harry was a horcrux and would have to sacrifice himself but he wouldn't die!! I said it all along and I'm right!! That never happens!! I was so shocked I fell over!!

Dudley! Omg Dudley shocked me aswell! I never in a million years thought that Dudley Dursley would miss Harry!! Never!! I thought it was the sweetest thing!! Good old Dudders!!

Dumbledore - I always adored Dumbledore..thought he was an utter legend..but in this book I doubted my judgement..I mean yeah okay so he can't have always been a saint but well after the stories came out about the neglect of his sister and his friendship with grindelwald..yeah doubted him a bit. And then of course when we saw him in the pensieve..was utterly furious with him..using Harry as a tool..I mean god I felt betrayed!! But then of course Dumbledore appears at Kings cross and isn't a bad naughty betrayer at all..he's still an utter legend and well I love him ^_^

Snape - I never saw that coming..kinda thought he had a crush on lily..but the whole Good!Snape thing scared me a bit. I never actually liked him..I thought he was funny at times but I thought he was a git..and of course despised him after he killed dumbledore..but after the pensieve..well actually in the shrieking Shack..well my opinion changed okay. To think that Dumbledore knew he was dying..to ask Snape to kill him..to know that Snape loved Lily and protected Harry out of his love for her..that guy is truly brave, and so misunderstood! I take back everything I said..

Neville - I adore that guy, always have done and I'm damn happy he's found himself!!

I cried like hell when Dobby died! It was horrible! And all in the act of saving Harry Potter! Although I reckon that's how he'd have wanted to go because he worshipped Harry but y'know..it was still heartbreaking!!

Fred! I was annoyed that they killed Fred! Annoyed and utterly upset! Fred was the bestest of the Weasleys!! The bestest!! And they killed him!! Bastards!! And George..I've never laughed so much at someone losing their ear!! Those two are utter legends!!

Lupin..I cried that he died! Especially after his and harry's argument..and then him being all happy and telling harry that he's gunna be godfather to Teddy..I do think though that Tonks and Lupin shouldhave had their own scene..they deserved that much..a proper glorified heros death..y'know is that too much to ask for?

As for Ron walking out on Harry..I think we all knew that was gunna happen didn't we..Ron doesn't like it when he doesn't know whats going on does he..but he came back and he was good ^_^ bless him, and hermione snogging in the middle of war though..such pleebs!!

cried buckets at harry going off to die..I thought it would happen but it still didn't make it easier..especially with his parents, sirius and lupin following him..it was way too sad!! And then afterwards..everyones reaction to Harry's 'death'..kinda felt for Narcissa aswell I know she's a bitch but still..

Dunno why but my admiration of McGonigall totally increased..she's just awesome!!

Was anyone else slightly confused as to Voldermorts death..it goes on about the sun..then harry catchin the wand and suddenly voldermorts dead..had to go over it again to get it..

But then Maybe it was the fact that He had two parts of soul in his body..not both his but the killing curse only destroyed the one part leaving his soul intact and keeping him alive?

harry did have all three, cos he had the cloak, the stone, and you know malfoy had the elder wand (well had mastery over it) because he was the one who took dumbledores wand away from him, so when harry took malfoys wand at malfoy manor, harry gained mastery over it
if that makes any sense
so even tho voldemort had the actualy physical wand, he wasnt its master

therefore harry had all hallows so did not die! :D
