This summer Film Four are showing a series of open air films at Somerset House in London - 20th August is Shaun of the Dead. Would any of you like to go? It could be really good fun - we can have a day out 1st then see the film? And school summer holidays so shouldnt get in the way of exams for people etc? Heres a bit off the website about the screenings -

Summer Screen returns for ten nights, transforming the magnificent 18th century Edmond J. Safra Fountain Court into a full-scale open-air cinema with state of the art giant screen, 35mm projection and surround-sound.

Enjoy an inspired programme of movie premieres, classics and recent favourites, featuring comedy, horror, romance, thrillers, sci-fi and action. Arrive early, relax and soak up the atmosphere before the film with good food, drinks and DJs. There is no fixed seating in the courtyard, but you are welcome to bring rugs, blankets or cushions to sit on (sorry, no chairs!). Rugs will also be available to buy.

Screenings will continue except in extreme weather conditions.

Doors 18:30, DJs from 19:30, Film 21:15.

Its a Monday which is a bit random!! :blink: Tickets are £15 ut arent on sale just yet but will be on sale on ticketmaster

Or if people cant do the 20th - on Friday the 10th they are doing a screening of Hot Fuzz although i would have to cancel going to The Globe to see Othello - would be ok though - tickets i dont think have been booked for that yet.

im up for either, but probably prefere the 20th, as the 10th im supposed to be doing work experince dunring the day, and also its my birthday on the 11th, which as i am having a driving lesson on that day, would be nice if i wasnt tired for it, oh what the heck either day is good!

I wont be able to do the cliffs - its on a weekday right? Will be working :( boo not fair!! I wish i still got school holidays! I can do the 10th and the 20th for the screenings - its £15 a ticket and they dont have to be booked in groups or anything as its a 'bring a rug' type of thing. If the weather is good it will be sooooo lovely!

I don't think I could make 20th. Um, I'm going to London on 10th but I've already got things planned. :cry :( I'm not sure, therefore.

I was thinking...................JRT is a fan of Simon Pegg................i wonder if he will come to the screenings of Hot Fuzz on the 10th and Shaun of the Dead on the 20th? Its a possibility!

well if we all do meet up, and have a massive picnis while watchign it (with lots of marshmallows, and if on the 10th, then birthday cake as well!) then if we see anyone famous, then bring them back and we can meet them all, will be great if jrt is there, be a proper gw meeting!
