Title: Hiya

Lisa289 - June 4, 2007 02:13 PM (GMT)
Hello fellow GW fans.

I'm Lisa, 17, from Wales. I've been thinking of looking for a GW board for a while now, but just never got around to it. Well, I finally looked for one, and here I am :)

I love GW and Julian Rhind-Tutt is hot! So is Stephen Mangen, weirdly.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi :)

Lisa xx

Woo for Wales! I've never been...:(

What do you mean by Stephen Mangans 'weirdly' hot?! He's just plain gorgeous :D

Lisa289 - June 5, 2007 02:09 PM (GMT)
I don't think it's weird to think Stephen Mangen's hot - maybe more that Guy is. Maybe because Mac is portrayed more as the fit one on the show, and Guy can be a bit of a prat.

Re Caromac or Caroguy, I always thought Mac was better for Caroline because, as already said, Guy can be a bit of a prat. But it wasn't until the very end, in the special I think, when Guy gave up Caroline, that you see how sweet he really is and that he really is in love with Caroline. So, after the final show, I found myself more Caroguy than Caromac.

And woohoo, over the excitment of my Welshness :) Am I the only one? That makes me feel rather special :)

Thanks for the warm welcome guys,
Lisa xx

Oh and, I'm having a bit of trouble of this board and was wondering if it's universal, or just me.
In the REPLY window, the SMILIES take up most of the screen and the reply box is stretched longer than the screen itself. Usually when this happens, there would be a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the screen, but I'm not seeing one right now. So I just have to trust my typing because I can't see all of it.
Anyone else have this problem? If so, is there any way to fix it?

Thanks again xx

oiyoupingpongman - June 5, 2007 02:15 PM (GMT)
Ive just checked on that problem you have and Im blessed with a horizontal scroll bar and actually the screen helpfully moves as my typings disappearing aswell. So it must be a problem your end :( Give your computer a kick.

And excellent choice on the Carguyness. Everyones comes round to the idea in the end, welcome to our family :D

Lisa289 - June 5, 2007 02:18 PM (GMT)
Thanks. What do you use - Internet Explorer, or Firefox? I'm on Firefox at the moment, so maybe that's the problem.

Thanks anyway xx

oiyoupingpongman - June 5, 2007 03:05 PM (GMT)
Internet explorer...yup Firefox can be a bugger. Can you change the settings?

enzotherhino - June 5, 2007 03:09 PM (GMT)
i used to have that problem on the other computer - this one has a wider screen. the only way i found round it was to make the text smaller and then you could see it by using ctrl-

xpingux - June 5, 2007 06:11 PM (GMT)
hey there are welcome :D im sure you will like it heree.

Caromac is the way to go Lisa!! :(

& Julian is gorgeous

Lisa289 - June 5, 2007 10:24 PM (GMT)
Used the "Ctrl -" thing which has worked. So thanks enzotherhino! Will just use that when posting :) Or maybe I'll try using IE for the purpose of this board.........

PigRescuer - June 6, 2007 11:16 AM (GMT)
I used to have thet problem, but it went away.

My computer is very odd to the forum.

In the past, it has invented smilies, changed the orange aeroplanes to blue books, made things smaller, made things bigger, made it all white...

People kept telling me it was a reward for posting too much. :D

Lisa289 - June 6, 2007 12:30 PM (GMT)
Now trying it out on Internet Explorer and I have aquired a horizontal scrollbar :) So that's that, problem solved. Will just use IE from now on for this board.

Thanks for all your help guys

Lisa :hug

Hehe, thanks :) I have a t-shirt with that slogan :)

And also one that says.......

"You can take the girl out of Wales, but you can't take Wales out of the girl"

PigRescuer - June 6, 2007 06:48 PM (GMT)
... which sounds slighty pervy.

Lisa289 - June 6, 2007 06:49 PM (GMT)
Does it?

PigRescuer - June 6, 2007 07:08 PM (GMT)
Maybe just in my head?

Pingu's not around, I have to make her pervy faces for her.

I see you've fixed this problem now, but if you ever Firefox to visit the forum again, you can get round it by either pressing the scroll wheel of your mouse (if there is one) or by pressing both mouse buttons together; that will bring up a scroll curser that will let you scroll in 360 degrees. Hopefully. I have the same problem, and for my first few months on here, made some very oddly spelled posts because I could only read half of them.

You're welcome; I just hope it works (and actually makes sense).

Little_Simba - June 13, 2007 04:02 PM (GMT)
As I'm here so little now, I'm not sure I'm all that qualified to give proper welcomes but I thought I would anyway. :) :P I'm sure you'll love it here, Lisa, and I'm glad you managed to sort out the problem you were getting at first because that would put you off using the forum, I'm sure.

Yay for Wales, incidentally. I really want to go there.

Lisa289 - June 13, 2007 05:14 PM (GMT)
Thanks Little_Simba :)

You should visit Wales.........it's a beautiful country

Little_Simba - June 14, 2007 02:33 PM (GMT)
I'm sure I will one day in the hopefully not too distant future. I'm trying to talk my bf into a little holiday there.
