Hi everyone, im new ive finally joined to discuss and not just read. :)

Anyway i was wondering when Mac wakes up from his coma he asks for his girlfriend emi but didnt they start dating partway through the series after caroline went on a date with guy (unless im wrong). By then he liked Caroline yet he's not supposed to remember 8-9 weeks before the accident and if he remembers emi surely he remembers Caroline.

Have i just stupidly missed out something really obvious or have i got a point

He was dating Emmy after the party, so in theory he should remember the sicky kiss with Caroline. Now I'm confused, I'll just have to watch the whole of the first series again :)

The neuologist guy said that Mac lost the last 24 hours and the past 8-9 weeks were patchy...........and plus it took him a while to remember Emi's name didn't it

lol Doesnt he mention Holly as well!!...I never actually though about this before.

anyway, ermmm i'm not sure :blink: i think he did cause of the whole asking caro to the resturant ages ago but then when she finaly accepcted he said he was with emmy so i assumed they got together after the party

but yeah he said his memory was patchy so I guess that it was something strong in his mind and so he remembered that...

errmm and yeah he mentioned holly as he remembered that he did go out wth holly before that

oohhh question: i think we may have been through this before but i was wondering how long had mac worked there cause when holly arrived she said i would be like old times meaning that she worked with mac before but then she deosn't know where things are so obviously it was a different hospital, so when did he meet guy and when did he start work at EH?? :blink:

I always thought they had worked there together..holly and mac!! Maybe the lockers had been moved!! Holly and Angela were friends so mac must have been there as long as she had. I think Guy may have started there a year or two after, cos in the ep Guy's never meet her before, even if in the deleted scenes it says other wise!
But thats just what i though!

We've already discussed Holly and Mac knowing and working with each other previously (at some length I think!)...

Haha thanks sorry if i confused anyone i guess it was the writers just wanting to be cruel and have mac remember all the other girls he's been in :heart with other than caroline

I've also given this matter much thought, and I have two conclusions:

a ) bad continuity on the writer's part.

b ) they wanted to make Mac have a selective amnesia to make the Mac/Caro relationship more, well, Ross/Rachel-esque.


That is my cynical decision. :D
