Title: What Is Martin?
Description: A question of qualifications...
Dr. Baroline Trodd - March 2, 2007 05:55 PM (GMT)
Could someone please explain to me how Martin is referred to as 'Dr. Martin Dear' and tells Karen he's technically a doctor, yet hasn't passed his exams...
I'm confuzzed

ElleDoll - March 2, 2007 08:48 PM (GMT)
but isn't that the same in scrubs, they call JD and Elliot and co DR even tho they are interns?
Dr. Baroline Trodd - March 3, 2007 04:58 PM (GMT)
Unfortunately, never been able to watch much of Scrubs (though I did see the musical at my friends house!), but even so, the american system would be different, no?

*clears throat loudly*
Martin has passed his doctorate exam, which made him a doctor.
The exam he is taking is his MRCP (according to Angela), the Membership of teh Royal College of Physicians. It's a postgraduate exam.
So there we go. :D

Victoria Swann is a posh name!! and you are clever, i suppose i dont really have an arguement for teh gram school other than its posher than secondary scool cos it sound posher........and anyway isnt posh a good thing!!
PigRescuer - March 3, 2007 10:32 PM (GMT)
Grammar schools are not posh!
It's where you go when you can't afford to go to the posh private or church schools.
Victoria Swann isn't particularly posh.
Charlotte Radford Hoare, now, that's a posh one.
guyoline - March 3, 2007 11:53 PM (GMT)
yeah but your dad doesn't even have to work! you are smart and you have a posh (ish) accent and you live in a place with the word beeches in the title which to me is some posh plant/tree thing
PigRescuer - March 4, 2007 12:55 PM (GMT)
Ok, so now you're saying I'm posh because beech trees are posh?!
I have the same accent as you.
My dad doesn't work because he is retired
guyoline - March 4, 2007 02:13 PM (GMT)
be cause he made enough money to retire early - carlshorten beeches sounds posh to me - and you have a nicer more posh accent then me - you go to a grammer school
 we have had this debate many a time just get over it - you are posh!
xjessx - March 4, 2007 06:43 PM (GMT)

Dr. Baroline Trodd - March 5, 2007 08:31 PM (GMT)
Thanks for that Vicky :)
Also, you didn't stirke me as particularly posh but you ARE smart. And you seemed to have the same accent as Ros...mines quite similar. It's Surrey, daaaarling ;)
oiyoupingpongman - March 6, 2007 12:35 AM (GMT)
Aah your all a bunch 'o' southern fairies! :P
swissluvagirl - March 6, 2007 03:33 PM (GMT)
:hug People call me posh all the time. No how you feel.
At least you don't have a posh name like Demelza Elizabeth Vinicome.
XTinker_Bellx - March 6, 2007 09:58 PM (GMT)
hee hee I was posh :D something I'm rather proud of actually....then I moved to Bodmin. I mean you can't get posher than living in a mahoosive house on a hill in the middle of Bodmin moor, owning 40ish horses, talking like the stick up your arse has a stick up it's arse, having piano, cello and violin lessons and ballet and dance lessons :D
and Vicky is definately privilaged *nods* she'll be able to get cheap car insurance
PigRescuer - March 7, 2007 05:59 PM (GMT)
Tinks.. you do all that stuff?
...can we come stay? :D
XTinker_Bellx - March 7, 2007 08:50 PM (GMT)
lol we did, and then gran died and the house had to go for sale, I still see my horses though :D and had to drop the accent cuz bodmin is chavcity and you get beaten up for talking properly. hmmph.
